Hello James, an incredibly good video! It's nice to hear how the devices sound in comparison to each other. But I have to ask a few things and I hope you see it. I have a u87 combined with an Avalon 737. The two go into an Rme uc interface. My recordings with just the compressor without EQ don't sound anything like yours :D My sibilance is very, very loud. In general, the frequencies don't sound as "balanced" as yours. Your sibilance doesn't sound so sharp... I don't think you're using a de esser in the video, right? You also use your voice through the b2 Bomber, does that make such a big difference? Is my microphone or the Avalon broken? Wrong cable?` I know there could be many reasons... I'm shocked at how it sounds to me compared to you :D
@@jameslugo My newest three videos on my channel are all U87ai into Pacifica. I have a 1073DPA and Avalon M5, too, but with U87ai and for bold RnB midrange, I like Pacifica most.
Hey man, I was wondering, you said you once had the Voodoo Labs amp selector, but now you've got the headlight. Just asking why did you get the headlight instead of the Voodoo selector?
