Watch producer/engineer Jacquire King (James Bay, Kings of Leon, Tom Waits) at the UA booth during the 20018 NAMM show, as he breaks down how he used UAD plug-ins and the Apollo interface on the track, "No Good" by Icelandic blues rockers, Kaleo.

Has is really gotten that bad that 3:48 is pushing the attention span of the average listener? We might as well just pull a collective Thelma and Louis as a species if 3:48 equals a classic-style rock epic. This always cracks me up when companies get names to endorse their product, and they never use it. This is probably the third time Jacquire has opened a UAD plugin in his life.

Witnesses of the end of times in the music industry, this clever engineers are doomed to make no history in music, Andy Johns is dead & with him all the real ones went forgotten except for promoting "The new & magic emulation plug ". The real knowledge of recording is gone. It is pointless recording something w/some kind of soul or real musical background with a 34 years old engineer behind the console. Tricks & tips full of digitalitis rules. Not a single record sleeve behind this guys represents nothing for me & I know they are smart, bold & have "certain" knowledge about his work. Is Adele the standard? All the tutorials have the same backing track, dull & boring post 2000 pop, electronic music, souless rock at best. I am stucked in time & if i had to choose give me a big Ampex MM 1000 instead of a Mac.... 01100101?. Sorry for being caustic but we're going nowhere....Next Grammy winner for...= next in the line of oblivion

C C Rider - agreed I rather have one 2 inch tape machine than 1000 plug ins. They can sell plug ins they can't sell tape decks that's why they're pushing this. It's the biggest money maker. Here let me sell you software again and again the same plug in. The reason why most young engineers have not experienced the sound of a real 2 inch tape machine. If they have they would have to be deaf to not hear the difference. You can throw a 100 plug ins in a digital mix it will not sound as good as just tracking right to tape.
