The first of what would become a four peat for the UST Tigers. This was the last championship of a sweep of the season, 14-0, of a team. That time if a team "sweeps" a season then they would be automatic champions. The following year this ruling was scrapped out and a final four series was a sure thing - sweep or no sweep by a team. I was a waiter at Saisaki Edsa when this game was played between UST and Adamson in 1993. The following second game would be La Salle vs FEU if i'm not mistaken. The La Salle team and supporters went to Saisaki Edsa after their ballgame where they ate and a little bit of a celebration. Then nag kwentuhan sila na sana may championship games na lang para mas masaya. I was one of their waiters. Then one La Salle professor (I think) told them na UST would be weak next season because 4 players would be out per eligibility rules. So he was trying to imply na next season (1994) La Salle would be the eventual champions because of their strong and intact lineup. Well he was absolutely proven wrong as UST would win all crowns of the next 3 years and the four peat was to be consummated.
25:51 - Christopher de Leon (not the popular actor) of the Adamson Soaring Falcons wearing jersey number 9... The son of the late PBA referee Ernie de Leon..
Observations: UST defense solid. EJ Fiehl di masyadong napapasahan sa low post. Idol pala ni Duremdez si Lolong (almost always pag nasa kanya bola, ititira na nya...hehehe).
Nope not really sir. It was just players rotation ni Coach Aric. 13-0 na sila dito at tingin ko nag pa pacing lang ang coach sa mga players niya. Espino was the main man of UST and was the MVP of this season.
