Console became so overpowered. Something that gets skimmed over is if you mess around with settings load a new plugin and mess with those settings you can now load those two plugins on that channel and it will switch back to how you left it instead of resetting. ❤
When is the new fader coming? I signed up for the newsletter but I’m so impatient! I wanna see what the fader is like because I love the fader. All that said console one is the only console I’ll ever need 😊
It‘s probably going to come out in September - you should check out the Panorama CS12, the perfect companion to the console 1 channel, as it allows you to natively control any plugin (premaps are supported, no mapping needed, but possible) and also has a fader which can ride any plugin parameter using the select button on the device! 🙂
Hey! It's coming in the fall of 2024 - good thing that you're signed up to the Early Access newsletter (www.softube.com/early-access-console-1-fader-mk-iii) - you'll get more details about availability as soon as we have something to announce :) Cheers, David at Softube
I just purchased a Mk2 console 1 w/ fader off of reverb. It didn’t come with a license. What do I need to do? Also purchased the mixing suite plugin and that’s not showing up in my DAW. Sorry for the noobie question and thank you for any advice 🙏
Hey! Please contact us at support@softube.com and we'll help you to buy a replacement license (www.softube.com/support/faq-purchasing/C1_second_hand_licenses) Thanks, David at Softube
The point of Console 1 Mixing System is to put the emphasis on sound and workflow, rather than pulling up a GUI that already exists when inserting a plug-in. This makes your workflow faster and gets you focus on the sonics of what you are adjusting, rather than being distracted by the look of the knob, wood side, or something else that is cosmetic on a GUI. So, yes, you can still use a plug-in in an insert slot if you prefer, but this is all about the workflow, feel, and sound.
Hi! Please quit the On-Screen Display from the systems tray/menu bar. Re-start Softube Central and reinstall the Console 1 software to the latest version (2.5.83). Also, make sure to download and install VST3 versions of your UADx plug-ins. Other formats (AU/VST2.4./AAX) will not work. If this doesn't help, please contact our support team at support@softube.com and we'll do our best to help you out :) Best regards, David at Softube
Hi Jeff! We have received some similar reports: www.softube.com/support/known-issues/console1-third-party-plugins Please try this: Quit the On-Screen Display from the systems tray/menu bar. Re-start Softube Central and reinstall the Console 1 software to the latest version (2.5.82). Also, make sure to download and install VST3 versions of UADx and Fabfilter. Other formats (AU/VST2.4./AAX) will not work. If none of this helps, please do a clean install of your UADx plug-ins. Please contact us at support@softube.com if the problem persists. Best regards, David at Softube
Hey! Console 1 will load the UADx and FabFilter plug-ins in the Console 1 On-Screen Display (i.e., you'll not be seeing the regular plug-in GUI) and the main idea with this is to put the emphasis on sound and workflow, rather than pulling up a GUI. We hope that this can make the workflow faster and gets you focus on the sonics of what you are adjusting, rather than being distracted by the look of the knob, wood side, or something else that is cosmetic on a GUI :) Best regards, David at Softube
@@SoftubeStudios I own Console 1 MKII. When I try loading an EQ or compressor plugin within Console 1, it doesn't allow me to select UADx plugins. It only allows me to select UAD 2 plugins (which are run on the UAD card). Is there any way to get my UAD native plugins working with this Console 1 update? Thanks!
It's the same thing man, the same software, you just have to access the Pre section & second EQ & second compressor through the plugin UI instead of the controller. No need to make separate tutorials, really.
@@SoftubeStudios thanks but it would really be nice if you could make videos for us MKII owners especially those of is who would appreciate it so much that we will eventually upgrade to the MKIII and MKII Fader later on. Not everyone can immediately buy the new shiny toy as soon as it comes out. Some of us need time, so why not show loyalty to all your customers…
@@river718 My brother i'm also still using an Mk2, and Mk2 uses the same software as Mk3. So it has all the same features mentioned in the video. The only difference is that to access the second EQ/Compressor/Shape sections & the new Pre section you need to open a plugin UI and select it there. A handy trick is to load your favourite Pre in the plugin UI once and save it as a preset (for example Softube Tape Type A pre), and then use it as a default preset for every channel so you don't need to open the plugin UI every time.
