Much latency compared to modelers? You had it sounding really good, you seem to capture much better audio from devices than other channels.

Cool demo and very insightful. Im hearing some snappy sounds during the guitar playing like picking sounds but even during sustained notes. Was there some clipping in the audio-chain?

your demo is awesome. A lot of people brag that this sound like sh*t in other demo or the pedal sound like shit. To me, if you approved the product and if you make it sound goood, this prove that the product sound good.

I like the sound of UA pedals, but I heard people saying they charge a $200 bench fee. Then if you need something done, you might as well get a new one. Great showcase of the sounds though.

You dialed the pedal in better than the other review i just watched over on EytschPi42's channel. He does good reviews, but didn't like the tones he got. Did you do a "in the mix" with this pedal? Even still, I don't think this is usable for me. I"ll stick with my Quad Cortex... Thanks for the review! Keep up the good work!

Thanks for commenting. I'm glad you like how I dialed it in. I love Henning's videos as well. He always does a great job with his videos. That's what's so great about youtube. We all dial things differently, and there's plenty of variety out there for everyone's taste. By the way, I told Henning what you said and he's going to egg your house 😄😁😅🤣😂

@@TONEWARSgearshow Hahaha no eggs from Henning please! It's funny how our ears can deceive us at times... I went back the the first tone you dialed in around 9:00 mins would be something I would use. I bet this pedal would sound amazing into a Fryette powerstation or their 2/90/2 or 2/50/2. If you're looking to add more amplifiers to your collection, look into Fryette. That guy Steve is an absolute wizard when it comes to designing power amps. His new Deliverance is supposed to be pretty cool too... lol now here I go down the Fryette rabbit hole! PS - i don't know what you use for your QC captures, but the powerstation makes DI captures very easy (and way less annoying). It's incredibly transparent

I would buy four more UAFX pedals if they would just add midi control 😡 love my starlight, but I’m ready to buy a pedal with midi control and take the starlight out of my board 😢

I love the concept of these UA pedals but I cant justify the cost when Tone X can do the same as all UA pedals for the cost of one UA pedal. I think you do save time finding tones because with the UA pedal you already have a great tone, in Tone X you have to find it. I might get one whenever I can find one used heavily discounted.

5 videos of this popped up today. Seems like its really good at what it does but $400 for a one trick pony amp modeler seems a bit steep when a used 5150 combo is $600.

With a noise gate, overdrives, and 3 cab models. Much easier for recording as well

I said the same thing after ordering the UAFX Lion but once I actually plugged in and started playing it, it immediately clicked for me. These pedals are purpose built to emulate one specific thing and they do it better than any other product on the market. The lion is the best plexi in a box on the market by a mile. The OX Stomp is the best cab sim in a box on the market and it's not even close. The DelVerb is the most comprehensive and well balanced reverb/delay combo pedal on the market (I've tried them all). Can you get a lot of sounds from something like a ToneX or a kemper player or something bigger like a fractal FM3 or QC? Absolutely but nothing as authentic sounding as these UAFX amp in a box pedals. All these other products (most of which I either own or have spent considerable time with) get that "close but not quite" thing going but the UAFX pedals have the "This feels and sounds 100% right" factor. That's what you're paying extra for.

@@FastRedPonyCarof course you can get a fractal/helix or quad cortex to sound just as authentic, this is just a smaller modeler with less options. Therefore it’s easier and quicker to dial in. It sounds really good, I’ll give them that. Unfortunately most need effects etc, which makes the all in one devices seem like a good choice.

I think it sounds really good, it needs midi to make it more usable. I know it has usb C, but to have it work with other gear. Let's say you have the other UA amp pedals. You want to go from the High gain to a plexi or Fender clean. You need midi.

Thanks for commenting. Good points here. I really think MIDI would have been very helpful with this unit. I don't know why they didn't incorporate it. I wonder if midi over USB would work?

UAFX know the demographic of influcencers to push this one. I'm still waiting on mine. I guess the 90's and 2000's rock style of demo can take a seat 😂
