Being a Cali76 fan, I'd like to see an 1176 shootout. No blend pot is a bummer if you want to run it as always on. You're a big Strymon fan Rabea, how does the Compadre compare? It's certainly is more versatile. I run a Cali and Compadre both in parallel, series and before/after pre-amp and drives. If there was a presetable (new word 🤗) Cali76 I'd be all in. Surprises me that the Single/Dual/Sustain mode on the 1176 isn't foot switchable.
@@josuastangl7140 I thought the purpose was to have something for sale at a lower price that didn’t compromise the more expensive UA products. There are plenty of small, digital pedals with multiple algorithms.
You had me at "simpler to use" but you lost me at "USB C on the side." I guess UA just can't help themselves. I assume these arrive like the Lion 68, in need of a firmware update and to download most of the functionality. I detest this business model UA- come on. I pay this kind of money for something I do not expect it to arrive only working about halfway and needing update already. And- my Lion 68 just took a crap on me mid-show- started beeping and squealing, then locked up- Ia had to reset it to factory defaults- so I'm right back to half functionality again until I can get to my brother's computer- he has USB C, I don't- and get it working fully again. And then just hope this doesn't keep happening I suppose- there was no reason for it, it's not even more than 2-3 months old.
Digital mono pedals in 2023 are DUMB! TE style marketing bs. Dont gimme that 1dsp,no bt bs. 2023 flying cars, wow. Mono pedals uafx. Far out. Spit that plexi pedal out, and the recto ua, ruby need s company! Joy hearing you rabea!
Wouldn't it have been easier to hear nuance of the pedals without squashing all the dynamics with distortion? I think you'd sound fine clean. I'm researching several UA boxes, so I really didn't want to bail on this. .
I grabbed the 1176 because of the PRS Silver Sky SE I have, is crazy with the dynamics. Don't get me wrong, I love that. But plugging straight into my Focusrite, where most of my guitars are at max, and it is easy to adjust the input. With the Silver Sky, that just didn't work. Far too many notes clipped the thing, and some others wouldn't pick up. the 1176 comp narrowed that dynamic into a signal that my DAW and interface now understands. Oh, I'm sure, as you showed there are more uses. But as a limiter/comp, this thing delivers a package that my PC can handle. And I can nor push the living sh1t out of that PRS, and know that all of the signal will come through. Thanks for the vid.
Hey Rab, what's that big knob pedal on the bottom left side corner ? I'm thinking it's a handmade custom pedal for fuzz maybe, couldn't find it anywhere on google... Great demo as usual!
