I bought this case on Monday at best buy but price matched it yesterday becuz Verizon's website is selling them for $59.99 so Best Buy gave me $22 back. Yesterday was a good day. iTypically purchase either tech21 evo check or speck presido grip cases but UAG is now my go to case manufacturer because of both their style and function. You cant beat the camera protection Monarch and Patfinder (slimmer version of the Monarch series) cases. To me the Civilian series is their most stylish case but the camera protection isnt as robust as it is on the Monarch so that was ultimately the deciding factor in my purchasing decision. I agree with you but I actually bought the Civilian case from Best Buy and then returned it bcuz it was slippery in hand to me. It is a good protective case for sure, just didn't like the grip (could be different for others of course). I want to get a Monarch case but not sure which one I want yet. The original ones are nice & not sure if the Kevlar alone is worth the $20 difference
I've been looking to buy this case for a while now but idk if it really is worth $80 for the case, or even the extra $20 over the CF or the Leather Monarch. Now that you've had this UAG Monarch Kevlar for about 3 months, how has it held up? Does it pick up pocket lint? Is it hard to clean the Kevlar? Has it had any discoloration? Has the Kevlar been fraying over time?
That is legit 0 side protection for those curved edges. Sure, the side of the phone itself is protected but if you drop this thing on a slight angle on its face, this case isn't going to do anything to stop that screen from cracking.
This phone case has one of the best overall protections out there mate. Literally recommend this case to anyone. Definitely worth the price tag if you can afford it. Idk, maybe you received a lemmon or something 😊
@@greenchild38 No. Just no. Lol. Rest the S-Pen across the screen horizontally. It is flat against it. A case with actual drop protection for that screen would have the pen flush against the lips of the case, *above* the screen. One drop at the wrong angle and goodbye screen (even with a screen protector btw since those things are just flimsy layers that really only protect against scratches at best). The VRS Design Terra Guard offers said lip protection and better overall drop protection than the Monarch Kevlar.
Just got this case for 22 u and I personally feel pretty disappointed with it. It looks phenomenal but there's no way it orotects the phone as well as otterbox defender pro or supcase ub pro. Just my opinion tho but takin it back to best buy tonight
Otterbox nor Supcase ub pro don't compare as Kevlar is used in bullet proof vests although it may not seem to look like it can. Additionally, the buttons are way better, more precisely made, and way easier to use. Drop Protection guarantee of 20 feet is one of the best, if not the best in the industry!
Supcase, I Blason and Poetic are garbage compared to this case. Otterbox defender definitely is better protection., due to more extended front lip design. The other cases have allowed the shock to go through and shattered or cracked screens as a result.
@@scottp4402 have you owned all these cases cuz I sure have and kept the ub pro and it's survived quite a few drops without a scratch I do also have an ll screen protector along with esr camera protectors on it but again to me this is coolest looking case of em all but not nearly thepst protective... Had it also been most protective id still havey s22 u in it
