The filling usually would be either Ircotta Cheese (Irkotta) or Mushed Peas (Pizelli). You can identify the filling even by the shape of the pastizzi, Tal-Irkotta has the filling exposed in the middle while Tal-Pizelli is folded to a side. Usually, us Maltese people debate which filling is the best :D . For the chicken filling, we do make it but it isn't popular compared to Irkotta and Pizelli.
