Surprising to find that aumee has made a song titled Tu-142 as it´s a rather obscure ASW-aircraft (Anti Submarine Warfare) and a derivative of the more famous and common Tu-95 that was the most iconic of strategic bombers from the Soviet Union. As an ASW platform the Tu-142 had a limited payload compared with the Tu-95. The payload included things like ASW torpedoes sonic boys. This aircraft also had lots of sensors and communications systems in order to fulfill its missions. Some later versions had different roles. The Tu-142MR was a flying communication central that used VLF-radio to send messages to the submarine fleet. An maritime reconnaissance version was the Tu-142MRT.
