Guess who sang along (like she always does), I was born in 1971, and this is one of my absolute favourite 80s songs, no matter how "down" you may be, it lifts your mood to the top in a blink of an eye. I love all of UB40´s songs.

"Red, Red Wine" is a song written and performed by Neil Diamond in 1968. Tony Tribe covered the song in 1969 in a reggae-influenced style, and UB40 covered the song in 1983 in a lighter reggae-style. Although Bob Marley never covered the song, the reggae cover versions have often been incorrectly attributed to him.
@@juanalfonso88 Probably bob’s verse started at the “red red wine you make me feel so fine” speech at the end since the actual vid of UB40 doesn’t have that speech verse at the end
This reminds me of my mum dancing at family parties in the 80s she had me at 41 she's 82 now and still dancing to this she'll always be forever young at heart 💖✌
Why are there so many people thinking this song is Bob Marley? 😂😂 It’s not. It’s UB40, previously performed and written by Neil Diamond. History is important, people.
@@michelleswondrousvideos2784 wow nobody cares about you getting stuck on the toilet. How PATHETIC that you would even comment something so STUPID. grow up you must be a blonde to post something so STUPID
Bob Marley had already passed away in 1981, by the time this song came out in 1983. This is a cover version by UB40, the original was written and recorded by Neil Diamond in 1967.
This song used to make me feel good, now it’s one I cry too because it brings back so many memories of someone I loved and lost, he was to good for this world anyways
Written by Neil Diamond, Red Red Wine was a minor UK hit for Jimmy James and the Vagabonds. At that time, reggae acts did covers of UK hits. Consequently, a version by Tony Tribe came out. This was a smaller hit than the one by Jimmy James, but it is better remembered, a fact borne out by UB40’s version on Labour of Love in 1983. UB40 were honouring Tony Tribe’s recording, and had their first UK number 1. Five years later, they reached number 1 in the US.
The first time i heard this song was back back in the day in the 90s i was chilling at my homies house doin kid shit n his brother pulled up. He had a bad ass system n this was bumping in his ride. I instantly fell in love with this song. Years later when i got a ride of my own i rember bumping this song crusing n smokin w the homies. Now here i am 33yo FT single father and im bumping this song and my 5yo daughter loves this song now shes always singing it. How time flies. How the first time u hear a song that memory never leaves ur mind. Its so crazy. God to be able to go back into time sometimes.
I first heard this song as a child, I was at a pizza place that I forget the name of with my family and I heard this, many years later and I still love this song 💖

"Red Red Wine" is a song originally written, performed and recorded by American singer Neil Diamond in 1967 that appears on his second studio album, Just for You. The lyrics are written from the perspective of a person who finds that drinking red wine is the only way to forget his woes.
My boyfriend took me ice fishing at a local lake. While it wasn’t quite beach sand, he played this song and then made love to me right there in a fluffy pile of drifting snow and we melted a hole right through it. Oh the memories of his cold feet that day. I love him dearly.❤

This song reminds me of when my parents were together for some reason… I don’t even know if they were in this time… they got divorced after and it changed my life..
This my late mother's favourite song. Since the night she died staring me in the eyes, unable to speak, holding my hand...its been an incremental purge of that long and difficult year and half. D.M.
I love this song and this band so much. I didn't particularly play them when my daughter was a baby, but it always cracked me up because she has been crazy about UB40 since she was 1yo. While they have universal appeal, obviously, I believe their sound is quite unique, and it always delighted me that my Latina/Black/European angel is addicted to them😅.
23 july 2019 a good therapy for relieving stress...just love it a good therapy for relieving stress...just love it its just that kinda night tonight I feel alive again after listening to this song after so many year

Ikr. I feel so intoxicated too ! Try listening to this song while being high on weed (ganja - Note at 4:39 mark he sings 'ganja', that's the Hindi word for weed XD). I bet it would be next level ecstasy. I'm gonna try it someday.
Ik im 18 and this song makes me feel so so drunk rn I don't even know what I'm saying at the moment, I guess it's too much of what ya ma call it in you brain hahaha 🍷 🍷 it's the type of thing that makes you feel "better" but in a drunk type of way
Nah, I've found Toots and the Maytals, among many other Reggae artists, on RU-vid. Red Red Wine was written (and recorded) by Neil Diamond in 1968. Beats me why a photo of Bob Marley was posted above.
This song has the perfect beats! 🎶❤️ whenever I get into the red wine 🍷 it goes straight to my hips. Gotta keep burning calories and dance now and again. 💞
