If Uber recording ALL, It will justify their take 80% commission and give you 15% of what the rider paid, 5% for insurance. Online recording save to the cloud while you drive service exist already, if you desperately need it, just subscribe it. Some of them are free. But for Uber adding it to its feature? that’s extra 20% fees on top of all fees.

I thought I was the only one angry about the fact that passengers sees driver picture, real name and almost all info, but drivers can't see even real name of riders or picture. It shouldn't be so. Drivers should be able to see riders real name and picture too

depends on where you live. i live where people go on vacation . made $30 an hour last few weekends just doing eats, no need to have people in the car. Turned it on friday and got a $24 order as soon as i accepted it they added a $21 order to it . Saturday night i got a $40 7/11 order. $20 taco bell orders all night long. Its still good . i m at 87% acceptance rate and they take care of me just fine.

I was driving 50-60hrs a week, money was ok but not great.....then it slowly got worse and the ride offers were crappier....I have had so many ride requests that are 20+ minutes drive time and they want to pay 5 or 6 bucks, NOPE.....now I rarely drive 10hrs per week.

Good! Next improvement to make: allow drivers to file civil lawsuits against all the passengers who lie, against them, just to get a free ride, at the expense of disposing of good drivers. Lying just to get a free ride, or because you didn't get your way, such as wanting the driver to speed, is defamation of character.

One of the things that bothers me is when I'm going to pick up someone say a female and the male is there waiting. It should be mandatory before you are allowed to select a ride. The first question should be, is this ride for you or are you ordering it for someone else and then they need to require them to put the person's legal name and age in for drivers safety and an alert be sent to the driver that this is an authorized person allowed to use This account because it was ordered for them. Followed by: Is this ride for an unaccompanied minor? Also, I have an XL SUV however it has a small third row so if I have to pick up six adults they won't fit comfortably. So it should be required to input the amount of adults and children. That way you don't waste time and gas going over there for nothing.

I know of some drivers where riders have looked up a driver's car license plate to see where the drivers live. One driver here was robbed because of this, Uber needs to remove license plates from the waybill or at least make it so you can't guess the license plate after the completed trip. Plus the pay still sucks, how can they take 45-65% when the driver is doing all the work and expenses are on them.

It should be mandatory for passengers to enter a passcode before entering the vehical. That's the verification both apps need. We don't know if their phone was stolen. And since both apps ignorantly allow the account holder to request a ride for someone else with out changing the rider at least a passenger code would give us some sort of peace of mind about who's getting in our vehicle

If driver safety was really important they would cancel accounts or prohibit accounts with single letter instead of a full name. I know this was offered once by uber a couple of years ago but I still get plenty of instances of accounts with just a single letter as identification

Uber use to have the riders pictures on the app also. I don’t know why they stopped since the driver pic is still up. It’s a big safety issue

They should but they won't.... Drivers can then cancel on people who they think won't tip or look too ghetto if you know what I mean. Then Uber drivers can roll around cherry picking young attractive women from bars. Customers will complain their rides don't get accepted because Uber is racist. Uber will say drivers are contractors and it's up to them.

I'm tired of driving multiple passengers and getting paid for one passenger. We need exact verification of who is riding, how many bags..ect.ect...and we should get paid for all extras. Period.

What i really hate is when a passenger fails to communicate that they have a number of stuff with them like you know their life in laundry baskets and hefty trash bags full of clothes and stuff and they really really expect that they’re gonna get so said ride for a few bucks. Last person that tried to move out of their living situation I said pointing at their belongings is that all your stuff? They said yes…… I drove off and canceled the ride. Another time I was picking up a guy and the ride was suppose to be about 30 minutes so a decent ride to an areas I wanted to go. Guy shows up with two cylinder heads off an engine. They looked used oily greasy and Definitely not going into my car. I have a nice suv with full leather interior people’s garbage is not going into my car not matter their situation. I just really wish they would communicate these things before hand than to waste my time and find out these passengers are DELULU!!!

I will also propose, except pin numbers, if whoever orders a ride for someone else must inform the uber AND drivers all the information about whoever takes the ride. Plus, uber must inform the drivers how many passengers are drivers supposed to have/pickup. It is very important because, for instance, all my one star ratings for not picking up extra passengers. Which, for some absurd reasons, makes passengers mad, and they leave unreasonable made-up negative feedback, like not polite, speeding, or whatever their sick fantasies will tell them.

We've had pins in NJ for years. I guess they were just voluntary, not all rides. Its actually kind of a pain because a lot of people don't know where the pin is and it takes a while to get confirmed as they fiddle with their app. Especially older people who aren't tech literate.

It would be nice if Uber and Lyft would create a data base that would prevent drivers from picking up riders they've reported for safety issues,etc. for example. If I asked to be unpaired from a rider on the Uber app. This does not unmatch me from that rider on Lyft. Vice Versa. This is a safety concern and should be addressed.

They pushed it to SF 3 weeks ago, defaulted to all riders pin, started having to get pins every ride didn’t know wtf- finally searched deep in app found the option and I chose Never- So the way traffic is I’m supposed awkwardly start the ride/get a pin from pax through the window? Or let them in knowing nothing then get a pin? Just a correct name exchange and destination confirmation I can be rolling…

I found this settings in the driver app and turn it on. Last night was the first time very rider had to provide a PIN. Only one rider said it was dumb. I can count how many times a rider got into my vehicle, started trip only to be notified that I have the wrong rider and had to return back to the pick up location. I like when the rider verifies my license plate and recently installed bright LED tag lights. I also turn on the driver record my ride.

I have a two way dashcam and when I was falsely accused of Sexual Misconduct Uber was not interested in viewing my footage. They wanted me to contact Uber Technologies Legal Department in San Francisco via Certified Mail ONLY. That took 6-8 weeks to prove my innocence.

Re: Record My Ride Setup via App Settings only (safety tool kit shows it but is not accessible to change settings or setup.) Recording is AUTOMATIC, It will start as you approach ride pickup location and it will end a bit after you've ended the ride. A small red light flashes on your phone so you know when recording is occurring. Setting options: audio only or audio and video. Recording is via your phone mic Don't expect it to pick up conversations that happen OUTSIDE of your vehicle!!! Once you're using it, simply go to the Ride History scroll down past the pay area. There's a notice that the recording was made. It may be more than one clip. All of my recordings have totaled about 90 seconds more than the trip time AND 1 or 2 clips (e.g. 32min. 45sec trip- 34min. 18sec record-2 clips) This is where you attach to a Report IF you want or need to. (Don't send it if you're just asking for a fare review, or the Conversation is not relevant to your support request.)

between lfyt/uber i have just shy of 2000 rides. I have not had an issues I have one stared some passengers for different reason so that i don't have to drive them again!!! BUT I'm more concerned about the pay than issues with passengers!!!!!!

I live in Asheville NC and I drive reservations exclusively. In the past month or so the pay for these trips has been cut in half. A trip to the airport from downtown that used to pay me $30 to $35 is now paying $15. I'm fairly certain that Uber didn't reduce fares. They're just screwing me out $15

Next, allow drivers to block certain towns, neighborhoods, streets, complexes, etc. Acceptance rates and cancellation rates will improve at least 30% 😂. I’m sure they will never implement that though, because they are trying their hardest to get someone robbed and killed by clowns in known problem areas.

For Lyft you won't be paired with the passenger again if you rate them less the 4 stars. I think it should be less then 3 stars.

Say anything negative that makes me think I'm getting less then 5 stars and it's gonna be 3 stars automatically. Any other issues will result to a one star rating. Example: a lady I picked up today was cool till we got to the hospital. She said not that entrance. The main entrance. I said sorry mis that's where you selected to be dropped off. She said well your the first driver that tried that. I said ma'am look at the map. That's where it says to take you. Point is she was argumentive. At the end of the ride she called me rude because I didn't say bye. One star. Marker as rude and safety issue. I'm doing my job according. You have me driving further around the hospital for less money. So your not getting back in my vehicle.

They should stop to request a Uber or a Lyft for someone because risk and could be danger why’s they are putting the driver life in danger.

As to the Record My Ride feature: My customer base stayed mostly the same, And I did notice that I might have lost a couple of customers, but I also haven't had any bad stories about weird people in my car. Nobody says anything inappropriate to you, and people suddenly become just so darn polite. Most importantly, and I cannot stress this enough, I now need to clean my car far less often than before I was recording my rides through the Uber app. Overall, 5 stars.

I may want to rate a passenger as 2 or 3 stars and still give future rides to the passenger. Lyft ratings are artificially high because a 3 star removes your ability to give passenger a ride in the future. On Uber if a passenger makes me wait 5 min before they come to my car, I may give them a 3 star rating but the same activity on Lyft I give them a 4 star because I may still want to give them a ride in the future. It would be better if the app lets me rate them how I want to rate them and not assume that anything under a four-star means I don't want to give them a ride in the future. Sometimes passengers deserve two or three star ratings, but that doesn't mean the driver is unwilling to drive them in the future. The apps should ask the driver if they don't want to drive the passenger rather than assume that anything under a four-star rating means that the driver doesn't want to drive the passenger.
