Uber in Australia is so corrupt have a big Indian cartel inside Uber Australia and they have people inside the customer service manipulating accounts, blocking people for not reason etc
You are right $267 for 15 hrs of work equates to about $17 per hour which is way below the legal minimum wage level of around $21 per hour. Plus you have not deducted the cost of car registration and depreciation or factor in cost of accidents. You also did not receive sick leave, superannuation or penalty rates for work shift hours in the middle of the night, on weekends and public holidays. You are subjected to verbal and physical abuse from customers who urinate and vomit in your car. Uber advertising says drivers receive about $40 per hour which is grossly misleading, they are an unscrupulous company who could not give a flying hoot about people who work for them. It is about time the government pulls them into line and stop using this legal loop hole to abuse Australian workers.
Excellent and well thought out channel. Good on ya mate. A very fair and well analysed financial summary. I wish you all the best with your channel, you deserve lots of views and subscribers.
Just in the First half a minute , this guy is not acting the way he is if that makes any scenes , he is just having some fun explaining but in a different way...but also good.
@@Rxt1rx Thanks. Im been busy writting a book then i will get back to my utube channel. The book is nearly finished called, "OBSESSED ABOUT FINANCIAL FREEDOM."
It's on 219km. I recomend using a Toyota Camry hybrid for Uber. They are reliable will pass a Uber car inspection each year if looked after. Hybrids are great because you get say with my car 900km out of a tank regardless of the traffic condition and brake pads last for ever nearly. Cheers.
$267 for 15 hours work .. plus wear and tear on car... jeezus why not get a job at kmart ur only earning $17 after tax at those figures... and still have potential for repairs and consumables brakes etc
@@tharindu6 Year i signed up with Didi too. Not as much work as Uber, but their commission is less that Uber. Better to drive with more than one company, because you are not getting paid for waiting for a ride.
So it definitely does not seem worth the problems and the risk involved. Easier to get a second job. When I think about the end result, it is that Uber have changed the taxi industry to make drivers poorer and remove employment conditions. Now I understand why taxis cannot compete.
Hi mate. Do you find you have a lot of down time in between jobs? Just wondering what percentage of your shift you are driving eg 50% driving 50% down time?
With Uber it's a total gamble. In winter it is quite during the week. Best to drive through Uber, Didi and Ola. To get consistent work. The weekend is best to drive as more busy. Cheers
It's up to the driver. Most Australians are not trouble makers and not really needed. When you have a customer in the car it's common sense to drive in a safely manner. It's a good idea in a way you are aboud to a car accident or something interesting happen from time to time. I've seen a guy pop a mono on a red motorbike from a set of lights from the opposite direction. Then get the bike to mono to high and then see his motorbike sliding down the road on it's side and him also. Then see his pissed off reaction!
@@JustinAllen1980 thanks for that I’m in the process of getting ready to Uber it’s a bit daunting I have to admit but I like meeting people and I love to drive , I think once I understand how to correctly keep records of everything for tax purposes and get all set up it will be easier , thanks for your videos 😊
@@thecuzz1 I do uber eats as a side hustle and it seems you nearly make as good money doing that as passengers. I can sometimes make upto 30per hour sometimes better but average is about 10 per order by the end of the night. Can get super busy and barely time to stop.
I have a question. I would be glad if you answer. Can an uber driver in Australia use his bank account in another country to transfer the money he earns from uber? Or should he just use a bank account in the country where he is an uber-driver? Thank you
I hate driving with Uber bro. It’s a dead company to work for due to their low fares and high commission. Customers most of the time fiddle with the car’s electric windows and radio. That annoys me and I tend to cancel trips often for this reason. My car, my rules. Terrible job.
why are you paying 11.5 gst.? (n Uber driver Partner, you are required to be registered for and pay GST regardless of your level of income. Unlike most other businesses, the usual $75,000 GST registration threshold does not apply and you are required to account for 10% GST from the first dollar of income you earn on your Uber driver activities.)
Uber is a good job on stand by if you have no other work lined up. But many hours I have put in, have been paid nothing or very little. Saturday is always busy but still need big fares and not be stuck in the traffic too much. Cheers.
You get paid depending on how many jobs you do and how many ks the trip is. Depending on traffic conditions and how expensive your car is on fuel and maintenance. Also speeding, parking fines, car accident damage. Time cleaning vehicle each day and after customer making a mess. How many hours you work, what time of the day. Aprox expect to make $120 after gst tax and expenses working around 7 to 8 hours and another 1 hour cleaning your car. Also you have to pay your superannuation with that and eventually save up for another car. And it needs to have a 5 star ANCAP compliant vehicle as well. I'm currently not driving for Uber and have released a mobile app called Play my audio and working another job as well. Cheers...
@@JustinAllen1980 Thanks for quick reply Justin .I appreciate that.. I am returning to uber after 2 years gap. So till I find proper thing I intend to do this. Uber helps a lot. Bt I was nt aware of conditions now a days in Melbourne. It used to have busy times in morning n evening office times and airport trips. Is it still busy !! ?? Has it been busy after COVID now? 1.How many days n what time should I drive 2.shoulr I buy a car or get car on rent ? 3. Which suberbs are best to be in n what times? 4.i definitely looking a car that is hybrid. 5. How can I get in touch with you for advice ? Sorry for long questions Your kind help is appreciated mate Regards
Now is the busiest time of the year for Uber. The best car is a Toyota Camry Hybrid, but are now very expensive to buy. The best days to drive is Saturday, but have to give up your weekend. The amount of days to drive is up to you to work out. After doing over 22,000 trips now I prefer to work a Monday to Friday job 40 hrs and have a life balance. I found to make a lot from Uber you need to work 7 days and wear your car down extremely quickly. My Camry hybrid was on 520ks after 4 1/2 years time, and was smashed and repaired many tmes. I use to make around $2,000 a week working 7 days for most of each day and had to pay all my overheads and taxes with that.
@@JustinAllen1980 Thanks again So I get a idea from what I telling life is back to normal in Melbourne and it's busy. Well I am coming in January end! What do u think, should I delay to February or Uber will be busy? Does airports trips are back now? Also I am thinking of residency in eastern suberbs mainly for Uber!! Am I right? Yes I will rent out Camry hybrid . N as u suggested work 5 days n weekend off Or work weekends take Tuesday Wednesday off? What do u think?
In Melbourne things are back to normal and also the traffic conditions very busy. Petrol price this week has gone back up to $2.13 a litre of petrol. With Uber you can try and decide your own work hours.
@@JustinAllen1980 my suggestion safety first,,,, report them immediately to uber,,,your dash cam footage will help you,,,so that kind of rider out from uber pax, dont worry about 1 star
Thanks for the info Justin, I’m weighing up the pros and cons before making a solid decision. As I drive heavy vehicles as a main job, I was thinking of Uber as a side huddle during slow periods in my main job. Is it still worthwhile to do these days?
@@DanLemur1 Year good to have an extra income on stand by. The weekend is the best time to drive as short wait time for rides, sunday nights the Melbourne Airport is busy. You can set the destination twice a day and do a few jobs on the way to where your going, and can claim car expenses on tax.
First a car under 10 year preferably a hybrid ,uber car insurance around $200 a month ,car inspection $53 and car pass ,register you car with taxi commission around $60 have a good phone with internet ,mobile phone mount ,taxi accreditation around $100, have a road toll tag Can claim on tax return.
@@scottw6256 to me all jobs are just a stepping stone to eventually move onto your own thing. Uber is very busy at the moment and can always be a plan B. If I were you I would read my latest book. Cheers. www.amazon.com.au/dp/B08SW99QNW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_09HG7ZY59STVZEZ7XS66
driving Uber. They paid tax and all cost of the car by them self. Beyond that Uber staff and CEO doing nothing in the uber office collecting your 27% income of yours. Uber Drivers you guys can’t act stupid and dumb people any more . Strike for one month for not driving Uber for all over the worlds.
Uber is a job that is a complete gamble. Unpredictable!! But always busier on the weekend. I find most people have a tight budget to spend on uber, so most rides are short. I have spoken to a uber black driver he does runs to and from the airport and city. Has a nice Audi. He gives clients his business card to do private jobs too.
You get paid more per a job but you need constant work to make more. Eg Didi pays more than uber per a job but will make twice as much from uber, because getting more work same as with uber black. More people use uber x. Cheers
If you want to make the most money from rideshare - Buy a hybrid sedan - join Didi Ola and uber. Also advertise a side hustle to customers give out a business card etc. Cheers.
