⁠@@BartetmediaActually, it's a matching app or dispatch service, that takes its own earnings for the service of the app from riders, pays Uber first (Uber's own EARNED INCOME), and just uses the driver's app as a recording device to show drivers what the driver's Net take is from the total amount charged to the riders, even though drivers now can not see what rider paid, but rider can tell drivers what they are paying for their full fare, which includes Uber's EARNED INCOME. Drivers have to deduct all their expenses from their EARNED INCOME (accumulated from base pick up plus time plus distance and includes bonuses from quests and tips), which earned income is leftover from total rider payment. So the Net to the driver from the app is the Driver's Gross Earned Income. If anyone wants to prove what is Uber's Earned Income on any ride request, just have the driver cancel the ride when at destination, instead of completing the ride, and the app will ask driver for the reason why the driver is canceling. That's when the driver can tell the app, "Don't charge rider," giving the rider a free ride, and the receipt that the driver will get will say "$0," meaning the driver does not get paid for giving a free ride. However, the rider should still get a receipt showing how much Uber charged the rider for using the service of requesting the ride. That receipt to rider is all of Uber's earned income. Now Uber has to use all that earned income to pay Uber's bills. Driver gets nothing to pay driver's bills, except for one thing... The satisfaction to show the rider and the IRS that NONE OF THE DRIVERS EARNED ALL THAT MONEY THAT APPEARS ON THE DRIVERS' 1099K forms. Drivers only earn for those items already listed above.

Booked a car for $100 cash and never thought of that again.I had used Uber in the past, and thought I was good to go as I saw a driver in my schedule 2 days ahead. Then had 7 rides and refunds for this ride and cruise I never got to take. 😡

Lucifer's rating is higher than Dara's! (4.99). Why would an app allow people to put names like that on an app and expect a driver not to discriminate based on a name or destination? Names are not a protected interest. Destinations are not a protected interest. Yet Uber can send messages to drivers that they cannot discriminate based on destination. Talk about intimidating drivers!! And creating community guidelines to intimidate both rider and driver restricting their speech or religious beliefs in a private vehicle not owned by Uber, nor is driver employed by Uber as an employee. This company creates division and scare tactics between riders and drivers, just with their star rating system. Dara said at 24:45-25:18... "we really want to be religious about the customer experience." Yet, the Community Guidelines for drivers who own their own cars and are Independent Contractors are not supposed to talk about politics or religion... because WHY, DARA?

He is a liar and a thief if you call that on point! I have been around UBER and Lyft for 5.5 years and they have stolen from me and I have caught them lying. FYI DARA is going to hell for screwing ALL THE DRIVERS so he could get 100's of Millions of dollars for himself at the expense of the drivers.

This is how Uber works. Uber uses your car, you pay the gas, repairs, pay for your phone and all taxes. In fact you pay for everything and work for Uber who in turn takes 60% of your earnings or more leaving you exhausted, broke and with a broken car.
