This works for you because you live in a big city and you always get high surge. If you live in a city where the surge only goes between $2-10, you will take what you can. Also here in Wisconsin they don't show us the upfront fare. It sux!
For me is better no more than 2 mins to pick up and a least 6.90 dollars per ride and maximum 15 or 20 mins to drop off and 20 rides per day, 200 dollars guarantee
I have tried this strategy in my market and it doesn't work cause we hardly have surges anymore and if you decline too many trips they cut your app off or stop sending you trips. You be waiting for an hour to get a trip. It's difficult to decide what trips are good when there are no surges through out the whole day When there are surges they don't last long due to traffic. You make two trips and surges gone cause spend more time in traffic with passenger or going to pick up passenger. Not saying accept every trip but if you decline too many trips to cherry pick they give you warning or cut you off or don't send you trips. Every market is different and managed different by Uber. What happens in Houston may be different than what happens in Boston. Have to be able to study your market to see if the strategy works.
Exactly. I also do Uber in the same area as the RU-vidr who posted this video. I don't receive a lot of surges and if I do it disappears immediately after a few declines. So I am very shocked while watching this video, why is he still receiving surges after many declines.
Man you just lucky by living in Boston.. There is no way you can do that in houston. There is literally no more surge and when you try to insist in cherry picking they stop sending you trip for at least 20, 30 min.

Well the thing is in boston they had close the “summer tunel and it’s causing a lot of trafic jammed everywhere. What he is trying to do is avoiding trips that goes that way . Unfortunately where he live is always trafic no matter what.
I've been driving for Uber for years in Springfield and Western Mass and, who knows, maybe he has discovered a trick, but if I declined this many rides I would certainly lose my Uber Pro standing, which means that they would not give me any information in advance other than how far away the ride is, not how long it will take. So until probven (by Uber Boston Guy) otherwise, this looks too good to be true and it is.
Cant make them numbers unless you are driving in A) a city/ metropolitan area B) you have a high-end luxury vehicle or EV C) you drive 12 hr days +60 work weeks.
Dude, I would have taken half those trips. Extra $$ is extra $$. We don't get surges here where I live in Florida. You got $20 to go 5 miles and you rejected it??

Wow Boston still has a lot of surge. LA market got no surge since end of May Only when the big event. Too many new drivers and Part-timer in LA. If you keep talking about easy money too much Boston gonna be like LA soon.
its all well and good doing this when you have lots of surge but as soon as you get an influx of new drivers and you run out of surge this wont happen again and because of your rating you will be last in the queue for rides???
I don't understand he is not a gold, and yet he can see gold features like the trip pickup and drop-off locations. I called Uber and they said I have to unlock Gold to be able to see the trip details
At some point driver like you must take full responsibility for your cherry pick. When Uber was still offering surge price, many drivers like yourself refused to accept trip request so Uber take the surge away and drivers has no choice but to accept the trip request with no surge.
I like the way you think. I drive the same way. People laugh at me declining rides left and right for $35-$52. They be going NUTS on my channel. Then I show my bank account sitting at $13k for the year (so far) based on driving smarter. The same people laughing at how I drive aren't sitting on the same bank balance. Folks stay broke for a reason, so if you follow broke driver's strategies, you end up just like them: broke, living check to check and week to week on rides. Smart driving puts a cushion under you. Bank account looks nice and you're not stressed over money.
