Actually technically off the books trip is same as driving a friend or relative somewhere and them giving you cash for gas. Anyone who rides in your vehicle is covered by your car insurance. If it is not business then it is personal. That would be a personal trip.the app would need to be turned off from start to finish and you can not accept a ride or delivery till after dropoff.
That's wild. Silly girl doesn't realize that Uber eats and Uber rides are two different things. That's how bad things can happen either to the driver or the customer. A customer orders an Uber package and the customers son wants to go with the package to his dad. I politely declined. If we had gotten in an accident I would have been sued.
I think customers are trying to exploit drivers because a lot of markets have non English speaking drivers or undocumented people working the gig apps.
if i had like 40,000$ in my bank i would mess around and be bold with these bold customers no problem, but we brokies get used because we cant chance a contract violation.
It might be a temporary pause due to inactivity. That happened to me. Thought I was deactivated from Shipt, I called support, and they told me my account was temporarily paused due to inactivity. They unpaused my account during the conversation and I was able to log back in. If you haven't accepted an offer for a couple of months or more this might be why.
@lisal5665 me too. Shipt had become a major bread and butter app. I had like 17 preferred customers in 4 months of working it. They deactivated me permanently because of some dumbass metric on the app and ignored all my appeals.
If you drive for Uber and the passenger tries to pay outside the App it's a violation of Terms of Service. Good for you Pedro for turning her into Uber.
This happened to me one time. Was delivering McDonald’s to a bar on door dash. They called and asked if they paid an extra $25 would I give them a ride home from the bar it’s only about 12 blocks down the road. I thought it was weird but it was a slow night so I said , absolutely let me put the car seats in the trunk lol. It ended up being 4 drunk chicks celebrating a birthday. They were super friendly and appreciative and gave me 30 bucks. I don’t really like doing ride share but they paid me up front and paid me generously so I said why not.
The driver's that take ANY offer for ANY price have caused this pandemonium. Companies like DD, Uber, etc take an advantage of this situation and let customers feel entitled at our cost!!!
If she said anything of value, it would be "you work for Uber." It reminds me of the wonderful 4.99 delivery fee that the customer thinks is going to the driver because we "work for them" and tip less.
I had a meet at door, no entry code, no response customer so i photo graph the product infront of the address sign, three hours later i get the same order, another time i had alcohol, the customers door was open, i rang the bell 5 times, people having conversations would not come to the door, I just left and returned the alcohol.

I would have asked for cash to take her wherever. You can get commercial insurance but it’s not worth the cost anymore. I used to do that but I stopped all this gig work.
Hello Pedro been a subscriber for a while but i just don't post much. I watched this video and it really hit home. I was doing a Spark order and when i arrived to the drop the customer came to the door and ask me to give his wife a ride to her job. It was just a mile or two down the road but who in their right mind would ask a stranger for that? Especially your wife riding with another guy? Crazy
So im fairly new. I only do food delivery but between uber and doordash I've done 516 deliveries and out of all of those I've so far had 1 tip bait in uber and it was a college student. $7 for McDonald's 2 miles away. Was a pin order too made me wait for her because she put meet at door but wanted to meet in front of apartment building. After all that later I see she removed tip. Miserable person and considering it had pin on it probably does all kinds of scams. Wasn't that mad in the end $2 for 2 miles didn't really leave my zone just wasted my time really.

I shared one video of these non car drivig people, and this guy orders me around like I'm his cab driver. This is guy that literally lied to me when I hired him. The owner of the company loved him. But then this guy would get drunk at 10am and call his customers, while being drunk as hell. Then there's this crazy lady from Chagrin Falls. Man did I find some videos of some really weird shit.
