i usually tip my delivery guy with cash as well, i assumed the delivery company would somehow take part of a tip as well if i did it through the app so its to make sure the money ends in the hands of the person working for it the hardest
It's so refreshing to see someone so positive doing these videos! How you can remain so upbeat doing that job I'm not sure, but keep it up! You're brilliant.
Why not ? You get paid to be your own boss and don't have to deal w micro management. It is a good way to earn extra income, especially if you live in a warm climate.
what people seem to forget that... (A) Location helps a lot - If youre in the big city with offices everywhere during peak hours. You will be rolling in money. Residential can be quite busy too but not everyone orders takeaway so YMMV hugely based on your location. (B) Peak hours make up for the bulk of off-peak hours. (C) Did i mention *PEAK HOURS* ?? You really really gotta hammer those peak hours (D) This video is a rather bad example because even though £17.30 was made. He could of made £100+ for the last 4 days in a row. In off peak hours - you can relax. in peak hours you gotta hammer them pedals like youre hammering your boss's GF. You aint got time to be tired. I got a friend in central london workin Ubereats and he was raking in a lotta money because he was destroying the peak hours.
i see people doing deliveroo here, they annoy me as they ride on the pavement. this sort of job is fine and I don't doubt you can make a fair bit of money, but if orders dry up then you are stuck. I looked at ordering something using Deliveroo, but the price they stick on top is a bit much.
For the dumb people in the comments who can’t do simple math, if he works a 6 hour shift and he told us he makes $17.30 an hour on average there he’ll make $103.70 a day. It’s really common sense
Giancarlo Andre Bravo Abanto i think it’s pretty safe cuz the road is small , traffic is slow and most importantly the drivers in his area seem to have some good manners. I lived in a country where traffic can only be described by one word, chaos , I did not have rear mirrors on my bike either , you just need to pay more attention and ride slowly when you wanted to turn lane
🆔️🔞&👍thanks for sharing,,I wouldn't use this service even if it was free, I hate soggy McDonalds or any food..I won't eat food I have to remicrowave kills the flavor.soo it not only Americans being lazy.
@@AdamKyleAnderson yes but he's not putting in as much effort. Plus he's probably set it to low power to maximize his range. If he did the same job on a normal bike he'd be f*cked come to the end of a proper shift say 8hrs. Then again I can't see that small battery lasting a full 8hrs of Uber eats delivering
That is certainly true for this guy & his bike. Yet here inn London UK, there are so many food delivery guys riding E-bikes which look to be modded. These bikes are speeding over 25pmh often as fast as scooters, most UberEats or Deliveroo riders have large insulated bags on their backs. I for one i have never ordered, i hate the idea that my food will get spilled or arrive not in a good state. Which is why i don't get delivered food.
@@ABaumstumpf You should try living where I do, you'd never lock your bike up at all. Then it'd get stolen by the gang of white teenagers who steal bicycles round here.
no shit, i was in malta once and the waiter started speaking german to me and my buddies, turned out he was from the hungarian-austrian boarder or somewhere close to it and learnt german, became waiter in a high quality restaurant. dude got his tip.
That McDonalds in Bristol is hell...always, I don't think I have ever been in there and it not be totally packed, its a nightmare, why anyone would apply to work there I don't know?
So how many miles you get out of your battery on a shift before it needs recharging? And what level assistance you use? I had a Carrera Crossfire two years ago but they have a design fault where the power just cuts out and the screen goes off. Did it to me twice in first 14 days and had to wait overnight before I could get it back on so got money back. And I see you don't lock the bike outside some shops... an opportunist could swipe it.
Well - uber is still a company that is working in gray areas of the law at best - trying to circumnavigate laws and regulations that are actually HELPING the employees. From how bad they are to the employees (specially in terms of insurance coverage) they should be outlawed.
@@marcd7332 no one forces Uber (or the rest of them) to do everything they can to control people like employees, but not pay/protect them like employees. It would be great if it were set up as a platform for people to be self-employed, but it really isn't.
@ALCLCF I think its possible for Uber to exist and not circumvent laws and regulations but my issue isn't with Uber in particular just 'Marc D's' premise that you have a choice who you work for and what you do where in reality you have to do what you can to survive whether you believe it's fair or not and the idea you have a choice isn't true, you need to eat, you need to pay bills.
Boy I dont miss ubereats! Not knowing where the delivery is going when you accept the delivery when you are on a bike is criminal. With doordash you see exactly how many kms in total (including where you are TOO the resto) before you accept the delivery, and ofc you see the money you will make before too. I will never do ubereats again.
Where I live in Toronto, Canada, I want to do Doordash on my e-bike but there are barely any orders. Sometimes I have to wait 10 minutes to get an order during peak times. If I turn on UberEATs, I almost always get an order in less than 30 seconds.
Here in Oz making 200-300$ on motorbike ,uber paying less, Deliveroo pays 25%more,on bicycle or ebike makes 50-150$ on busy days;!lots of drivers getting into road accidents not getting compensations, sometimes that big bags they are unsafe due vehicle can hit you easy ;!
Yeah Carrera Crossfire E bike i have the same workhorse :-) Magyar étterem, meg Balázs, hát beszarás mik vannak, nem gondoltam volna, hogy nem angol vagy olyan jól tolod :-)
@@zyborg47 Yeah i used to have the same issue at summer time as well, seems. But if you keep riding and the parts are warming up the error just goes away, but still it's reducing the battery range even if i know it's fully charged.
Good video mate, well done. On a positive note bike riders are getting leaner and fitter, meanwhile the fat folks can just stay at home and order crappy processed foods. It´s easier to be overweight and unhealthy now more than ever!
man do you seriously leave your phone on your bike and your bike unlocked while doing deliveries???? mad respect you're doing a good job, but please keep an eye on your personal belongings :) much love from the netherlands
I had a Crossfire and it just cut out all the time. had to take it back and get my money back! Guessing they have fixed the issue? Do you have a number of batteries you swap?
LOL, I do not think anyone understands that you are on an e-bike. They are giving you hella props for doing all the riding and are clueless that you really do not have to peddle at all.
To be fair you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most jokes will go over the typical viewers head. There's also Rick's nihilistic outlook which is deftly woven into his characterisation - his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volta literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realize that they're not just funny - they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Rick and Morty truly ARE idiots-of course they wouldn't appreciate for instance, the humour in Rick's existential catchphrase "Wubba Lubba Dub Dub," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons I'm smirking right now just imagine one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dan Harmon's genius unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools... how I pity them. And yes by the way I DO have a Rick and Morty tattoo. And no you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- And even they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) before hand.
Hungarian but grew up in the UK? You have an educated almost posh English accent. I am guessing you only do this part time .Interesting to watch .I was a motorcycle courier in London for 7 years up to the year 2000 .We got the jobs verbally by radio then .It was all document delivery mostly within London but sometimes as far as Manchester.Keep safe .Cycling in any City is dangerous .I feel much safer on a motorcycle .
If you would have done the cycling anyways than its ok, but 17 for 3 hrs of work - cmon thats barely minimal wage but in fact its way worse because you are using your own stuff and risking your own health. That would be a shitty pay even in Hungary. Anyways great video thx for posting.
I'm still looking for a magnet for my Bike I'm trying to customize my Bike for deliveries. Where could I buy a magnet to keep my phone connected to the bike. I checked Wal-Mart they don't have the magnet
It's not a crappy system, because it's a local system and all deliveries in 1 city can be done in time no matter how far they have to go. Customers also realize their food has to travel, so if they order from a place which is far away, then they don't mind waiting a little bit longer.
Back in the day...Ma would fire up the chip pan, or shove some tatties in the oven , more than likely it was, you know where the kitchen is, make your own jam sandwich......happy days...
wtf? You got a quid tip total? That's so sad/cheap/infuriating... I give 2 EUR min to every single food delivery! (Or roughly 10% if it's over 20 Eur total).
@@MrBlobbylemon Holy shit, that's rough... 😔 My thinking is that the job of driving food to dudes too lazy to cook or get it themselves is a shit enough job to justify me giving the 2 EUR... It won't bankrupt me and yet it has a significant effect on his/her hourly wage!
Tipping is personal, so they chose to tip by their personality. Ive got huge tips (at a car washing company), from people with huge and expensive cars, and from people whos car was practically a junkyard runaway, and on the other way too. But, it is kinda a theme, that people with less expensive cars gave more, while people with those luxury behemoths a lot of times gave nothing, and even took the cheapest option.
He said 17.30. Is that for all Sunday like the title implied? Earlier in the video he said 12 in that hour, then 4 in the last delivery, so...17.30 all day seems shit.
Ebike rider vlogs no way would it be for one hour. One delivery takes roughly one hour. He made £17.30 for Sunday. That’s crap. For having to ride a bike in traffic.
