Just another way ubers finding ways to pay drivers less and less. Was at tampa Airport cell lot today talked to 6 drivers about updated app. They all know they're paying us less now. We all agreed it sucks. Supposedly the navigation has been improved b.s. worse than ever. Back in the day it was called pool not x share. Would have riders request pool thinking they were saving money but as soon as uber sent another stop they were insisting I proceed to their destination without picking up second fare. Pool was short lived. Ubers getting bad even my riders tell me their other drivers are very unhappy uberring now with bogus surge and no boost ridiculous driving crazy hours intoxicated riders and upfront pricing no extra for stuck in traffic.
Share is new in my market. Drivers, DECLINE DECLINE DECLINE just on principle. I accepted a shared ride this past weekend on accident. I haven't trained my eyes to pay attention to the ride type yet. I just looked at the Pay, Time & Miles. The pay/time/miles was not great but good enough. Shared rides are going to cause a lot of problems. Turns out the rider didn't even know what a "shared" ride was. After I picked him up, he was trying to add a stop but couldn't. That's when he asked me why he couldn't add a stop. I told him because it's a "shared" ride. His exact words were: *What's that? I only picked it because it was cheaper.*
I also noticed recently that ride requests no longer indicate if a ride is multiple stop, which means we are back to accepting the ride and then cancelling after checking to see if it has stops.
I once went off on the satisfaction survey. I told them they needed to have some kind of indication ahead of time to let drivers know if it is multitrip. I told them if they did this and gave a chance for drivers to opt out they would find out very quickly just how drivers don't want this stupid feature. To my surprise a month later they started putting it on the trip radar. To this day I think god and laugh everytime a stupid multitrip comes up and I can refuse and tell them to go to hell. But if they get rid of the warning plus now this shared ride crap on top of the fares already becoming pure crap lately. They will lose every driver out there. I really believe I'm starting to get into negative money over the past month or so. This is starting to seal the deal.
On Friday I accidentally accepted an Uber share ride. I noticed it after accepting and since I do not like to cancel a trip, I figured I’d go with it and see what happens. It was a $6.00 ride for 2 miles. When I picked up rider one, I asked her if she knew it was a share ride…she said yes and we proceeded to her drop off. There was NO second rider. So I guess that a share ride does not guarantee that there will be a second rider.
This is disastrous! I did one shared ride. The riders were of opposite ends, of the SES spectrum, and they did not get along. Lyft only gives me $3 rides, which I decline. If I decline too many, they threaten to suspend me. BIG DEAL! I'm not make money, anyway.
@@petlovers1780unless you like me and get ridiculous bonuses because you've been doing it for a long time with good service and urine pretty much the best market for it. Constantly getting from Monday to Thursday I better 200 200 $50 bonus for 100 trips. Can I get another bonus from Friday to Sunday which is usually about 300 to 350 for a hundred trips sometimes even more. They're bent ansborough for 4 weeks in a row I've made $2,500 a week because of it
@@petlovers1780and that's just doing ubereats I can make more money picking up passengers. I had over 18,000 deliveries in about 2,000 passenger trips I haven't done a passenger trip for 3 years. I stopped doing them when a drunk girl passed out in my car for an over an hour
19.000 trips i would rather be broke then having a stranger in my front seat Im not doing it My acceptance rate went from 98 percent acceptance rate to 71 and going down by the day .
I told them on my satisfaction survey exactly how stupid this was for drivers. Unbeleivabke how much they continue to try to squeeze more and more service out of drivers with less oppurtunity to make money. Fkn great for shareholders. But dumb as hell for us.
Please don't do the shared trip because they are not playing driver for two trips instead they are giving you one pay for one trip and not adding tip. 1:55 1:57 They just deactivated my account because I made a complaint about my shares trip pay, tips and someone that illegally sharing my Ride Share account. For you guys under 40 that are being taken advantage of by uber and lyft. Did you know that good welders can make almost $200000 per working less hours than an uber driver and not ruining your $20000 car. Use uber money to pay for your education and the tools you'll need to learn a trade.
The only thing that makes it viable for me as I live in a market where I get really good bonuses. For the weekend I had a hundred trips for $320. In 30 hours I made $1316 and that's eats only
I never take a ride with multiple stops. So this cuts the shared rides altogether. I have done them, don’t waste your time. I had a fat lady who couldn’t fit in the front seat, she just left and was crying.
I did a shared ride when I picked up the second passenger the first passenger got upset when I commented that this is a shared ride the passenger said “ I know how shared rides work I don’t know why you’re even talking to me.” Then I get a msg from Uber saying that I spit on a passenger … absolutely no more share ride for me
I denied my first shared ride as a driver. I looked at what uber was paying and literally was like why would I do it for the $$$ you just offered. Isn't it supposed to be more money for me to do it??? It wasn't there.
Carbon Dioxide ppm levels in a cramped car may climb significantly over 1000ppm during the trip which is above federal recommended indoor air parameter guideline.
My Uber eats was the only thing activated when they removed me from the platform. I wrote the CEO and since have been turned back on..... But my acceptance rate didn't have any repercussions against my diamond status..... But now that i activated rides, my acceptance rate cancelled my diamond status. Still heart broken about that
@@sergioSMTMC1what about when people try to abuse Uber eats with a catering service I had someone order like 20 trays of food and it was going a half an hour away and only pay like $3.90 lol if you're going to pull something like that at least throw in a big tip
Hi, you forget “where is the money ?”, shared trips Uber on the total miles makes more money than single x ride. Do the drivers get more per miles than Uber x ?
Nope. Uber "Expects" that you'll get another rider, and that added fare will make it worth our while. At least that's what they've said. Problem is, you WON'T get another rider, you'll just lose money on the ride. DECLINE.
Retired from Uber in 2023. Retired from Lyft in March 2020. The whole system is rigged. You have to utilize these companies to your advantage. Its not a lifetime career. Its a means to an end.
Uber share only makes sense for SUV Drivers taking people too and from airports like the old Super Shuttle; it being a bunch of random people? Like who would even do that, except maybe criminals? No thanks!

Uber is keep descriminating Drivers. This Uber share don't help driver. Also Uber should not charge 40% 60% Commission from trip. We are going to submit very soon to Union and lobby.
I love it! This is great news! More ride options means more people can utilize the uber platform. I think might even save money for uber in insurance costs beacuse of 1 person per trip. Have an open mind, you'll make more money
Do you work for Uber, or something? These "Share" offers SUCK! I just logged off for the night, and a few minutes before logging off, they tried to send me a "Share" ride with a total distance of 30 miles, for $14. You will NOT make more money taking "Share" rides. Keep dreaming.
