Lyft got me on one of those guarantees before. I thought they were paying me in addition to what I earned on my own. And ofcourse I made more myself. I learned my lesson.
this type of ride guarantee is very profitable if you implement a good strategy. In my case, I would take every short trips available and finalize it within 3-4 days .
Understanding how to extract potential value from these earnings "guarantee" offers is not very hard for experienced drivers who know their market. At least it shouldn't be. If the per ride average of the bonus is higher than your personal per ride average, by a worthwhile amount, focus hardcore on hoovering up as many quick short rides as possible, regardless of how bad the pay offer is, as long as it's quick and short. Hard pass on rides that take up too much time or miles, if you're confident you're going to clear the bonus, any additional earnings on the medium and long rides is literally worth $0. Medium & long rides are a 100% pure waste of your time miles and gas. Also, if you're trying to clear a quest bonus or guarantee bonus, *DON'T* wait until the last day. Plan your driving to clear the bonus a good solid day in advance. If there's a decent size bonus in play, that last 12-18 hours before the deadline, *EVERY* driver who is still short is going to be out on the road. Many of them won't make it. I don't have insider knowledge, but I wouldn't put it past either uber or lyft that one of the factors in the dispatching algorithm is to attempt to minimize bonus payouts.
Im renting a car through Uber after a drunk driver hit me in March, and they require I do only their platform through the rental agreement. I was doing doordash, Grubhub and Ubereats in my subcompact car before the accident. The rental allowed me to start doing rides, but they took Uber eats away now so I can't do both. It's literally non-existent in the area where you select what things you'll do. I need to call them. I click on sign up for Eats and it has some error. And rides have been crap. Long waits between rides, low pay, no opportunities or really low ones. I rarely see surge pricing.
You have to go and work in an area near you where it busy city and only take short trips 1 to 3 miles. I live in New Castle Pennsylvania which is very slow so I go to Youngstown Ohio for Door Dash and for Lyft, when there’s guarantees or challenges promotion I go to Pittsburgh Pennsylvania
You might wanna start to dive into the different tiers on each app. Depending on the vehicle you drive, those challenges aren't worth it. BUT, if you've got a small car like a Camry or Prius, it might be worth it. Shit, I hit $1,400 in a couple of days sometimes. That means I'm not getting any of that guarantee - because I exceed it! Folks be like, "...I did it...can I get the $1,400?". LOL! It's if you DON'T make it to $1,400 - so folks might end up doing 100 rides, making around $1,350 - then getting $50 from the Lyft Challenge to bring them up to $1,400. Again: it's all about the vehicle you're using. I think these challenges are for the lowest tiers to make driving make sense for them. The upper tiers can do well - but it better be busy or else we're sitting around doing nothing for hours! And if we drop to the lower tiers, we won't hit the challenge because we ain't making 100 trips unless to STAY on the lower tier. And that's not worth it. I can sit on the upper tier and make $40/ride for about 10 rides per day. I can bang that out and call it a day, going less than 150 miles all day. Literally sitting and waiting (which sucks, but it's like fishing). Those challenges are designed as "welfare payments" to drivers that take a lot of those $2.62 trips and $4 trips, burning thru gas like crazy!
I agree that having a smaller car saves gas. However, if you're doing short trips it also makes a huge difference in savings during an earnings guarantee.
@@Thehandsomeliberal definitely does! Imagine doing 20 short trips versus 20 long trips. You can do 4 to 5 per hour and be done in 4hrs with one. But long trips will take you all damn day - and that's a lotta time and gas!
I took 190 ride guarantee 1900$ in 30 day. I complete the trip and Uber only paid 103.84 . They said I didn’t make the 1900. So they paid me the different what should I do-
Man they got no more guarantee and when i try adding the promotion it won't allow it Lyft is just ripping off nee drivers like my self now they want 200 rides for 1500 and still wont give a brother any promotion
@The Handsome Liberal easily! Tourism alone makes their Promotion great plus congestion tax they get. Also most work 8 plus hours a day. They make easily $500 a day if they want too. I work in Jersey doing Uber. But they ain't accepting TLC right now. I'm doing about 75k in jersey
