I gotta be honest, I'm not interested in hearing the story of a woman or a Black man in Feudal Japan. They chose these two because they KNOW that means their sex and race will CONSTANTLY come up. Think about being the single African in Feudal Japan. No matter what's going on, race is going to come up. It's all that's going to be talked about, which is probably historically accurate, to be fair, but that's BORING. I don't want to see a European Samurai in Feudal Japan either! I want to see a story of Japanese MEN fighting for control of Japan because that would be a story that's JUST ABOUT THE POLITICS AND WAR OF FEUDAL JAPAN.
