Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed Shadows wants to have revisionist history about Yasuke and feudal Japan but Japan and Japanese Gamers aren't going for Ubisoft BS thatparkplace.... • JAPANESE PLAYS GHOST O...
You know what's funny. All ubisoft had to do was say "this game is completely fictional" and not "this game is historically accurate"...or just apologise and change their original stance the forst time an entire country complained instead of doubling down. You would have been completely fine if you did any of those two things.
I was so excited that ac was going to finally make such a game only to realize that out of the characters you play, you don't even have an option to be a regular Japanese man. I won't even be giving it a chance. Bring back Tenchu.
They could've made a fictional story that has an african foreigner becoming a samurai with their dum dum agenda. But instead, they wanted to represent a HISTORY which is true to Japan (not really, Yasuke as a samurai is now known as a fabricated history)
How many people here are japanese, and if there are, do they live in America? Cause ive not heard one japanese persons opinion. Plus all the AC games are fiction
AC games are known for being historically accurate while have a splash/drop of fiction put in also(For example in AC2 there are historical figures and places with Ezio as the splash of fiction). ASSasins creed shadows is just full fiction with its misrepresentation of japanese culture and history.
