One of the exciting aspects of this degree is the opportunity to gain real-world experience through a six-month paid industrial placement. You'll get to work for top insurance companies, both in Dublin and abroad. Throughout your studies, you'll be exposed to a broad range of subjects, including mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, and even machine learning and computer science.
After completing this degree, you'll have excellent employment prospects. Around two-thirds of our graduates become trainee actuaries, working in various sectors such as general insurance, health insurance, and life insurance and pensions. Others choose to explore broader fields like finance and accountancy.
