On their way back to Konoha, Danzō and his men ran into Tobi at the Samurai Bridge. Danzō told Fuu and Toruna to distract Tobi while he unties his right arm. Once Fuu and Torune were defeated, Tobi brought out Sasuke. Danzō then showed his right hand to show it was covered in the Sharingan and expressed his intent to add Tobi and Sasuke to his collection. Sasuke immediately questioned him about the murder of the Uchiha clan, hoping to find out if the elders of Konoha really forced Itachi to kill his family. Danzō confirmed this story and asked why Itachi sacrificed his life to tell Sasuke the truth. Angry that Danzō spoke so casually about his brother, Sasuke crushed him with Susanoo's hand
