The end pictures sums up how unjust the sports world is: winning a trials world cup event gets you 850€, while scratching your balls on a football field in a nation wide event gets you 5-6 figures checks. I'd love to see more awesome individual sports and less "ball games" in the media.
Its a crowd of like 40 people. How much prize money do you think they can actually raise? Some athletes do it for the joy of the sport, instead of the money. I work in a field that requires constant learning of new skills, and i make average pay, while a doctor that learns how to deliver a baby milks triple my salary. Is that fair? We don't get aptly rewarded for our efforts. Life isn't fair; only games are fair.
Sure it isn't fair. You for instance are not fair to the doctors either: they also have to keep updated and improve their skill constantly, or would you like a doctor using the same techniques and pharmaceuticals they were using 30 years ago?
+Derek Floyd on the 26 inch tyre, rim brake seem to grab just as well as discs, and as they are lighter and cheaper, most riders opt for the rim brakes on 26 inch bikes
+Derek Floyd Okay, now here is the real reason. Dis brakes brake on your hub, which then has to slow the wheel through the spokes. Due to these spokes already be light as possible, they are generally weak for these kinds of stresses. Rim brakes stop the outer part of the rim, placing no stress on the spokes. Your control of the actual stopping index point of the rim is better with the rim brake as you can accurately lock the rim exactly where you want it, where disc brakes will flex a bit, and give spring in the wheel. Discs you might find more common on the 20" bikes. Shorter spokes result in lesser flex obviously, so its less pronounced. It is also depends on each rider. Some might enjoy the spring feeling from discs, so different spokes for different folks... Hope this helps.
@@diegovitier1306 Best way to start is an affordable hard-tail mountain bike. It's a bike everyone is likely to have access to one way or another, and they're more than adequate for learning a few basic trials skills on, more so than any BMX.
was that not the shittist ceremony ever at the end. and what happened with jack? i swear he was in 2nd, what section did kenny overtake him on?????????
i feel like danny mckascil is just like ken block..turned what he does into a publicity stunt. made what he loves to do into something he just wants to make money off of instead of doing it just because he likes it.
