Dorm Room Tour at UCLA
I live in a plaza triple with a shared bathroom in Rieber Vista! 10/10 would recommend living here. I lived in a classic triple in Rieber Hall last year, and this room is a huge upgrade from that shoebox. It's a lot more spacious than a classic and it has AC! Also, shared bathrooms are way better than communal bathrooms in my opinion. I hope this was helpful for any of you prospective students who are curious about dorm life at UCLA and maybe gave you some room decor inspiration!

Hi Evelyn. My daughter just got accepted to UCLA but our tour that was scheduled for March was cancelled due to COVID-19 so we are trying to piece together our understanding of the campus and student life. I've been reading that freshman only get triples. Is this true and if so, are they eligible for plaza rooms? How did you find your room mates? They seem lovely. Is it random or can you request room mates if you know other people attending UCLA? Thanks for any help. Your room is lovely by the way. Also, i'm reading horror stories about this "hill". Is it really that bad? Any help would be appreciated as so many kids like my daughter are doing this blind. Thanks.

Hi! Yes, freshmen do typically get triples and usually it''ll be a classic. I personally got a classic but I guess if you're really lucky you can get a plaza freshman year! I found my roommates through the class of 2021 facebook group and you can request roommates! I like the hill a lot, it's pretty compact but it's fun being around all your friends with easy access to food + campus!

hi! Im living in rieber vista this year and I was wondering what floor you were on that you were able to have that ocean viiew? we signed up to be on the 9th floor but got moved to the third floor :/

Lujain Altawarah we were on the 9th! also it depends on which side of the building you get
