The whole team played tremendous tonight azzi with another 30 piece, Nika with 15 assists, Aliyah with 20, I was most impressed with Aubrey though of course. It was great seeing making plays every minute she was out there. Lou got hot in the second half, it was an all around great game against a top 10 team.
#NikAaliyAzzi they are just 🔥 Aubrey and Lou also showing up big time was important. Nika and Aaliya synergize so well, i just wish Nika would shoot a little more often, especially in the phase of the game where they missed a lot there were some chances she let slip. She needs a good mid range and 3pt shot that would make her an allstar player. And i hope to see more of those post playes from Aaliyah even against teams with stronger bigs than NC State, she is improving every game this season. And who thought that Aubrey would erupt this much in this game where they had shortage in the paint, her athletisism and her euro steps is something you dont see that often in NCAA. Lou took some time to get on fire, but then she showed a glimps of what she is capable of, probably just had a bad start this morning.
Thank you MJL243 for recording the NC State game😊, I thought this game was to be played on Monday the 21st. I don’t know what I was thinking about. 😊 You have truly been a blessing in recording these games. GOD Bless you.
Great job getting this so quick ... worse camera angles in a Huskie game I've ever seen though... frustrating for us Londoners sitting here after midnight watching but what the heck eh... its UCONN wbb afterall...nothing better than watching cousin Azzi go to work👍🏼🔥
@@onestgermainI watched and honestly, South Carolina has barely any outside shooters, and Stanford they’re really aggressive plus they have shooters and very tall girls. Of the two teams, I think Stanford is the one we have to look out for-even though they lost tonight.
What a strong and balanced team!!! When your starting lineup scores 32, 20, 20, and 16, and your point guard sets a new UCONN WBB record for assists……that’s a UCONN WBB record, which is extraordinary, then you present a devastating challenge for any opponent!!! Aubrey looks more confident every game. Wait til’ she figures out that she’s easily the best athlete on the floor…..have mercy!!! Lou scored 20 in just the second half. Her potential is unlimited and she will soon be competing with Azzi for leading scorer in a lot of games. Aliya has made tremendous strides offensively and is looking great finding ways to get to the basket and score!!! Ayanna is a beast under the basket and you can already see her potential. She is contributing in a positive way every time she gets in the game! The coaching staff will accelerate her development so she’ll just get more polished and stronger every game! The Huskies’ fast break game is epic!!! The team really covered well for the missing Dorka and Caroline is still restricted. Wait til’ they’re back to full strength!!! Looking forward to a fun and successful season!!! Recalling some trends from early last year, they often started slowly, fell behind, and had to fight back from behind. They also had some very bad fourth quarters early. They had lots of dead stretches of low energy and allowing long runs that hurt them. We’re not seeing any of that this year!!! The Huskies are light years ahead of where they were this time last year! That has to be a scary reality for the rest of the country!!!! Oh, and who doesn’t absolutely LOVE Kim’s color comentation ( not a word? ).
Jeff, sorry, but NC State isn't a "devastating challenge" this year. They lost too many via graduation. They were tough last year; this year, not so much.
I am going positive with my overview. Yes, they could have played better, when can they not. They just started going full season. The schedule unfortunately does not allow time for gelling seamlessly, but the schedule was made with the expectation that Paige and Ice would be playing. The fact that Paige's injury happened before the season doesn't really help. You still have players having to make adjustments especially with new roles, and players that still need to step up (see Amari) - by January's end I'll revisit. It was a good showing I'll take the Ws looks better than cupcake games to start.
Honestly, before the season began Geno said that Nika needed to pick up her scoring a bit. I don't think so with her ability to get assists. 15 assists was awesome! However, with this team, I think that Nika can do this consistently.
Again, thank you MJL!! My season long ritual is to lurk on youtube a couple hours after the post game press conference in eager anticipation of your faithful post.
Everyone! I love this team! That said , go watch South Carolina v Stanford… see what’s coming for us! The level and quality of basketball, they have, is scary! Tall, skilled, multiple forwards, all the team firing 🌳s, like I said …scary If you think, I am harsh, with my comments, you need to find a “safe space” , and crawl in it! Last season, I was heartbroken… Nothing more I like, than this team to win! But, I’ll go so far to say, that even if ALL our players had been healthy, we would have had a monumental task ahead… Stay humble, and watch that game!
Man, Lou had a rough 1st half but good to see her bounce back. Griffin was doing everything today! Edward's still looks tentative at times but getting better. And Nika! Girl got attitude and fire. Love it! I dont get what's going on with Ducharme....is she still hurt? Geno not giving her a lotta minutes. But they relied heavily on her last year and showed what she can do.
She still working on here neck stiffness injury thing. She has that thing on the back of her neck as you can see in the game. They said she only has had 4 days of practice. He’s playing her as much as he can within her comfort level
Message to Lou Lopez Senechal: Wake up. You are in D1. The defenders in this league will try to cripple you. You know their technique: when you go up for a jump-shot, they jump into the spot where you will land. The idea is to cause a high ankle sprain which will get you out of the game. Just ask Paige how much that hurts. Shoot a fade-away or set shot, or you will be crippled for two to four weeks. RU-vid "Larry Bird's Best Revenge". You must pay back a cheap shot like that. Ask Edwards or Nika Muehl how to extract pay back. Other than that, everybody played great. Stay mobile & healthy, Lou Lou.
This what they were missing last year. Aubrey Griffin coming in and wrecking things defensively leading to fastbreak points. I know she's hurt but I believe Azzi is now clearly better than Paige. Close to best in the country if not. Edwards aggressive. Muhl with 15 dimes. And she didn't get going till late but Senechal still shooting well.
That was not beautiful bball. NCSt has some excellent players who will become really dangerous by next year. They cut through our paint defenses over and over. UConn players were in a difficult place emotionally after the big win against TX. This was a bit of a trap game and they really struggled to get into rhythm, especially in the 2nd qtr. I don't know what the refs were doing, but it didn't help the UConn half-court game. It was very disruptive when the team was already not flowing well. Great assist game for Nika. Excellent game for Aubrey. Typical for Azzi. Lou is out of sorts for some reason. She just needs to keep shooting. It's strange to say it was a bad game with 91 pts scored, but NCSt wasn't really all that great. They should be ranked somewhere closer to #17 I think.
Ducharme and DeBerry have no future on the team. That’s how I see things right now. I reserve the right to change my mind if new data comes in. But it does not look good for them. The ‘25 class is looking like the Azzi Fudd class with DeBerry, Ducharme, and Poffenbarger all finishing elsewhere.
Without Dorka, hard going...Horrible game, against a depressingly bad team...No Fudd, we would had lost! Commentators, trying to hype the skit* show. I just tell it how i see it...Ducharme sick??? Imagine playing in a BB game, and have like...3 points...or, none! Like playing darts, and not hitting the board......passing to "imaginary friends"? NC worse than Kutztown, frfr! You compare Bird and Taurasi with Nika????🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Rocks in your head???
@@alexroberson4454 Sarcasm??? We were atrocious against a very poor team! Do you know the standard needed this year, to be successful! I just watched South Carolina v Stanford! Please, go watch that, and come back and comment!
@@onestgermain Hey Stevie, it's November not March, go in the corner and eat your pudding, Futhermore, nobody compared Nika to either Bird or Diana T they where simply talking about the assist record how you turned water into wine out of it Stevie is nothing short of a miracle.
