Yea bro I did the same setup … I think the battery being placed in the front of the boat kills its speed or getting on plane . Mine went under the water for like 10 seconds came back up without a lid lol !!!

Don't know if this is relevant but haven't had good luck running the outrunner motors on boats. The esc seems to heat up more than on an inrunner I think the outrunners are 8 to 12 pole and inrunner 4 to 6 . Seems the frequency has to be higher for the outrunner causing it to heat up.

Without changing the motor, what is my best option for maki g my arrow faster, I raced it for the first time yesterday and it was fast. But not fastest out there. I also have ordered some new adjustable turn guns-- this thing turns way too quick
