Yeah, this interview completely took my by surprise. That's by far the most English I've ever heard him speak and he did quite well. He'll probably gain MANY more fans if he continues with this new found confidence in a second language.

He got us all interested and he did a good job in making Silva look human in the first fight, but Silva is the Champ! and proved it again in the rematch.

For anyone who trains MMA, they would see that the best fights are those that showcase a fighter's dedication and practice in the sport. The Silva Sonnen fight may have been stopped early, but the Griffin Ortiz fight was more than worth the money.

Anderson Silva can easily become a cross over star. And the fight with Chael did that for him. Its amazing how these things happen in MMA. Esp for someone as incredible successful as Silva.

I did think the stoppage was a lil quick, but Sonnen put up less of an argument for this stoppage than their first fight. I like Anderson. He is the best mma fighter in history.

He does fine against wrestlers, just because he is on his back does not mean that he is in trouble, it just means that he won't earn as many points on the scorecard. All the while its no secret that his bottom ground game is better than his top ground game.

the stoppage did seem early but the rules are clear, if someone is getting a beat down and he's not fighting back then the ref has to stop the fight. It doesnt matter how 'light' the punches seem, if they are soo light then why didnt sonnen fight back. Its because he was hurt and you can't risk someone getting serious brain injury if you let it carry on. Anderson's the best, no doubt about that, and i have nothing but respect for sonnen. He's a great fighter, tough as hell.

It's not about how hard he hit him. It's that he hit him outside of the cage. Plus, that shoulder strike wasn't a nudge. It caught him cleanly on the jaw. People get upset when some fighters put their foreheads on other fighters too hard. Silva throws an actual strike and nobody says anything.

I was pulling for Chael and wasn't sure if it was stopped a little bit early but its over. Its nice Anderson talking english a bit and even mentioned living in Los Angelas. He may have gotten a little lucky with chael falling down but Chael got lucky with Anderson slipping in the 5th round of their first fight the difference is Anderson found a way to win and as Chael says thats what great champions do.

Nah he was not a bully in HS. And by tough times I mean he had to work multiple jobs when starting out in MMA, just so he could have money to train. He was truly devoted to being what he has become.

When Anderson leap jumped, his knee was above Chael's head. But the landing contact was on Chael's sternum. And that stunt Chael out. From then on, Chael's lungs are in recovering modes so his efficiency to toe to toe with Anderson has gone. Hope this would help. Cheers

I thought it was stopped early myself, BUT I do not think that he was going to recover after another 10 seconds of that type of pounding Chael was going to get. It wasn't like there were 30 seconds left in the fight. Anderson doesnt gas himself wasting punches, he's really accurate with his punches. He had it won whether people like it or not.

The greasing was confirmed untrue, Chael didn't care about grabbing shorts and even admitted he does it, and the knee was deemed legal because of where it landed; and as for the stoppage, Chael was so concussed he didn't remember it. Chael even gave Anderson props, conceded victory and was a humble looser... you should check out the post fight press conference ;)

Those fights would be great but Jones & Silva already said they don't want to do it. Anderson said he didn't want to fight at 205 after the Forrest fight because he said those guys are just too big for him.

They'll obviously be in the same weight group. If GSP comes back and wins his next 3 or 4 fights and Silva stays dominant for another 3 years without retiring I'm betting the fight will happen.

How can you be disappointed in Anderson's performance? He improved on his first fight with Chael, and even got the TKO victory. He didn't absolutely demolish his opponent like he did with Leben and Griffin because Chael Sonnen is a better fighter than all of them. At the end of the day I thought it was a great fight and I'm glad Silva is still the champ.

If it had been to the face I imagine the ref would have stopped it, because I'm pretty Chael's position counts as that of a grounded opponent. That was a great knee.
