Eduardo Flores because the welterweight division is shallow and wide open compared to the lightweight division. In the lightweight division there’s 5 different guys that could be fighting for the title. Colby is easily the top contender because there is no one else in the welterweight division, it’s a very different situation. Fighters don’t lose their contender statues because fans don’t like wrestlers. It’s mma not boxing.

I don’t REALLY like this guy, I love Masvidal and hope he wins. I thought initially he would batter Askren, but watching the Lawler fight again and again I don’t know. Anything might happen, I think, Askren might really get knocked out. However, after seeing that he survived after he got slammed by Lawler head first to the canvas, I see the probability of him getting knocked out pretty low. Maybe he'll get stumbled or tagged but a very little possibility of getting knocked out.

Think what you want about Ben Askren, but don't act like his loss to Jordan Burroughs means anything. Jordan Burroughs is arguably the best wrestler in the world. The guy has 4 World Titles on top of an Olympic Gold Medal. One of his World Titles he won just 4 weeks after breaking an ankle. There is no one in the UFC who could wrestle Jordan Burroughs and do any good, dude would make Khabib look like a novice. Other than that, sure 18-0 record in OneFC and Belator... i guess the guy still needs to prove himself, but we will see July 6th, hopefully it's a great fight.

He's game plan is sound which is already proved by Khabib. Get them on the ground and then finish them. But Ben actually finishes, which is why I like him more then Khabib who just mauls guys.. He is probably better wrestler then Khabib too.
