I used to think its 50-50 but as the fight comes closer.... Khabib wins 70-30. Khabib is just too strong combined with best stamina. I just dont see anyone beating him. He is also very aware of his strength and weaknesses and thats what makes him so great in my opinion. For the whole match he is trying to get the fight where he wants, he scurrs away when sensing danger of striker offense seemingly cowardly, so called fighting of the back foot, he doesnt force nothing and always looks for best takedown opportunity where if he is succesful at it his opponent at best comes out of it with depleted stamina and then the gap starts to appear cus Khabib for sure doesnt lose as much stamina after takedown as his opponent. You can look at all his fights its that type of scenario always. He may only lose if the opponent manages to keep the fight in stand up but hearing Eddy Bravo the othe day Tony will embrace the takedown brawls which I think is a mistake. Why play into his strength? Just stay away and jab and kick away until Khabib becomes desperate and lunges forward then catch him with a counter. But I dont think anyone is capable of executing this tactic so khabib will probably retire undefeated.
Yeah I think that's what makes Khabib so good. It's the ability to recognise exactly what's going on in a fight and look at things objectively rather than emotionally like many other fighters. Imo this is what you call a high fight IQ. Fighters like Jon Jones, GSP and DJ all seem to have that. And the same with Tony Ferguson, he can see exactly when you're tired, doubtful and goes for the kill. This is why I'm so excited for this bout!
None of the guys Khabib has fought have ground skills they're always in survival mode ( playing into his Game) Tony Wrecks people on the ground, Khabib will definitely get Sliced Up, how will someone who's never lost a round handle adversity when confidence turns to worry & fear, & Lots of Blood..,..

Yug Hang nah if you watched urijah faber he won his first fight with dominick cruz but it doesnt mean his the best he lost the second and the third. Even though he won the first he lost the last two so i dont know what your talking about.

While tony have been dropped so many time bc he tend to make a mistake but tony has this unorthodox style make him less predictable. I can see this fight 85% on the ground. Key for khabib to win is ground control and head placement. Key for tony to win scramble a lot and hit as much he can on khabib face. Khabib care so much his face he doesnt like to get hit. Khabib took Gleison to a decision, Tony wrecked Gleison so same same Styles make fights, Tony has been fighting Top 155' & 170' fighters, Khabib has been mauling 145' fighters....& didn't really deserve to be in there with him...Big difference

Khabib Nurmagomedov is in a a different level. he was born and grow up as a warrior with steal like mental state. how can you still compare this tony with him, he never showed or gone all out. TONY have no chance at all.. secondly who said that he has no striking game ? thats BS .. he is following his father plan to the bone and not allowed to do anything else goes it works for the time being. and he comes out clean. the only fight it worth watching is with GSP.
One more year and Tony Ferguson won't do what he can or try to do now.. (he's already on his first aging stage). Including His workouts.. Age can be an issue. Sso why not wait another year folks! Khabib team would love that, and his followers as well.
Yeah I agree if Khabib manages to get Tony to the cage that's where he'll be able to trap his legs and Tony's long frame will be a disadvantage for him. But I definitely don't agree with you when you say Tony does not have KO power and there's plenty of evidence to show that he hits hard. The Wave you’re not all that good at fight analysis my guy. Tony did not get saved by the bell vs lee. Lee was missing all those punches and was getting frustrated that’s why he kept swinging after the bell and tony was laughing. He was mad he couldn’t catch tony. Tony will definitely not be stupid enough to try to submit khabib from the beginning. His game plan will be to use his superior stand up game to cut and hurt khabib. If khabib takes him down he will throw elbows where whatever angle he can and khabib won’t like it. Hell then most likely use his scrambling skill to get away and back up on his feet and keep the pressure till khabib starts to get tired and then he’ll either submit him, knock him out or get a tko
The Wave stfu you know very little of MMA. Tony's striking is not precise like those of anderson silva and conor mcgregor but he is fucking endurant and rough. Tony never gets dropped he just rolls away(after getting hit) to avoid being in a position where his opponent wants him to be. Also tony can use elbows and submissions in the widest range possible.
Top strikers, opponent after opponent, have hardly laid even one CLEAN shot on Khabib, even one. He finishes his fights with unblemished skin, no cuts, no bruises, no abrasions. Even in the rare instance when someone hits him solid, he is unfazed, no wobbling, no dazed look, unresponsive limbs, really no indication the shot did any damage. Tony may be the first guy to land an elbow, kick, knee, or punch well enough to make Khabib see stars, but I think the odds are just not very high it will happen.
That's what makes this fight so interesting man! Can Tony keep his back away from the cage and not let Khabib do his thing? Can Khabib avoid Tony's elbows and jiu jitsu? I really hope this fight ends up happening! Thanks for watching.
I don't see why Tony wouldn't win... the guy has the best style, best pressure and stamina, best ground game, best best striking, best uniqueness and his fun.. people love him. He has to win. The only thing I worry about is muscles.. but should be fine.. I saw him beating muscled guys before..
Tony can win for sure no doubt about that this is MMA. I feel Tony's cardio and unorthodox striking especially off his back can be a massive factor for him. But Khabib is difficult because he just has so much control on the ground and if he manages to push Tony against the cage, Tony's long frame might actually cause him problems. But can't wait for this fight and Tony defo has a real chance to win which is why this fight has so much hype!!

Yes but he got hurt very bad with Tony's elbows and eventually got submitted. You can't compare Tony vs Lee to Khabib vs Tony. Khabib is a completely different fighter to Kevin Lee

Watch GSP vs BJ Penn 2. That what most fan of Khabib predicts to happen. I like to compare Khabib to GSP, and Tony to BJ Penn, because of some similarities among them, but of course with some differences as well, like, Khabib has better grappling than GSP, and Tony has better gas tank and better reach than BJ Penn. When GSP was asked about who's his toughest opponent/fight, he said it's BJ. In their last fight, GSP ground-and-pounded BJ. BJ's jiujitsu is also very good like Tony's (Tony being a black belter in 10th Planet Jiujitsu). But it didn't work on GSP. BJ ran out of gas, he decided not proceed to the final round. But everyone knows Tony has one of the best gas tank in UFC, better and longer blades than BJ, and probably better jiujitsu (Eddie Bravo, the legend himself keeps on saying how Tony's jiujitsu is getting better everyday). Tony can cut Khabib too. So for the ground game, it would be tough for both of them. And for the stand up game, it's 60/50, Ferguson. I don't underestimate Khabib's strikes though, especially that everyone knows he has that KO power. But Tony has better reach and Khabib has to be cautious with Tony's kicks or knees as he goes for a takedown. I'm excited for this fight. Both of them are great fighters. Hope it happens very soon!
I think kababs opponents where half beat by the time they got in to the octagon because of the task in hand , and the exact same can be said for Tony’s fights , ,,, gsp and Anderson Silva was the same ,,,
I've heard the hype that Michael Johnson beat Tony and was severely mauled when he fought Khabib. Tony fought Johnson early in his UFC career ,waay back in 2012 and it was a first round surprise knock down that Tony recovered from immediately. That knock down was what gave the decision to Johnson.This was the first and only fight Tony lost in the UFC. Fast forward to the present, 7 years later and look at before and after pic's of Tony's opponents. Their faces and heads look like someone took a hammer to them!! Tony is a different animal than he was in 2012. He WILL change Khabib's face as well, and has said in interviews he will try to keep the judges out of the fights. I like and respect Khabib, but if he wishes to remain undefeated he should retire now. Tony has far more tools to bring to the fight than Khabib does.
Let’s not forget he Fought 2 1/2 rounds with a broken arm in the Johnson fight they were scheduled to rematch and Johnson got hurt. Tony is 15 and 1 in the UFC octagon that’s insane!! Tony beats Khabib!! too many tools plus already said he will not fight against the fence that’s where Khabib loves to get his opponents. I just wish Khabib would man up and fight him in January or February this inactivity for Tony sucks!!
@@geraldcurio6814 --Thanx for the support Gerald.... Even if the fight goes to the ground, Tony is very dangerous fighting off his back. He can throw those sharp elbows from any angle. His elbowws have heavy callouses on them btw--from the wing chun dummy work he does. I'm hoping he breaks Khabib's leg or ankle/knees with his super tough shins he got from kicking the steel pipe for years. As to Khabib's 28-0 record I say it's padded as hell. Fully the first 15 to 20 fights were with fighters with more losses than wins, and most from Russia, not a world class mix as Tony has fought.
@@themartialartist6961 GSP is my goat but can he get back down to LW this late in his career? The UFC would never sanction the fight as GSP takes the belt and retires with it leaving the division looking weak. Just my opinion but the other two won't beat Tony or Khabib.
I think Dana said if Khabib beats Tony, GSP would be a fun fight. And if you follow GSP he posted a picture where looked very lean like a 155 so you never know my friend. And I think Colby/Usman will be interesting because theyve got very high level wrestling and I think they could compete very well with Khabib. But I think Khabib will retire if he gets to 30-0

Not every college in the NCAA belong to the NCWA though. Its a seperate organization with members and teams that want to join. Title IX displaced a lot of programs so the NCWA formed and incorporated. I wasnt aware Tonys college was NCWA associated though. My bad. I competed in the NCAA Div II. Before rhe NCWA formed in the late 90s.
you didn't consider the faktor of hardening. Tony is hard like steel, like a terminator and will demolish khabib. Thats the reason ferguson can put a hard preshure towards his opponents. I mean how hard you have to be that an ufc fighter brake his hand when he hit fergusons head.. that is also the reason he can absorb hard shots without noticable effect.
