Bruh at this point Olives is a real Mixed martial artist fighter. alot of martials artist knows the basic of each element whether it's standing or grappling, but Charles is a different level he's a striker with crisp straight punches that could knock you out and he got that Brazilian cucuy recovery😎 what's more is he can slugfest with anybody out there, although if he is in danger he will either clinch and throw Knees and Elbows🔪 or pull a jiu jitsu guard which nobody wants to enter(ground game superiority)🙄 plus he is good at checking calf kicks or any kick of that matter yo!!!!! another cool fact is he was able to takedown Michael Chandler and nobody in the Ufc has done that to him period(as far as my brain can remember), yeah I might be wrong on that one, but yeah that's my stance🧍♂️Charles got that Brazilian cucuy spirit and swag he got most areas cover to defend and attack which other Mma fighters could not at the moment...........🇧🇷
Always a class act, the rule has always been if you let Charles put both hands anywhere on you, you are in trouble. That Plumb on the feet with knees and those subs are game winners
I don’t think he was hurt at all. He noticed it was a big shot from Justin, he ate it, and just fell to the ground hoping to bait Justin into his guard.
he faked it, the 2nd "knockdown" was clear fake, he just waited the bait, 3rd was when the jumped on justin and pulled to ground scared the justin alot justin just wants to swing
@Rondo James Are you sure? Oliveira came up from the Favela, today he is the absoult champ and rich a guy, in now days this man is the goat, wtf you're talking about????
@@anthonyramos9841 Not saying he was hurt or anything like that. Just saying when you're watching it in the moment live and think he's about to go down, he always turns around and pulls off the win.
this guy proved me wrong badly on Chandler fight, even I'm a big fan of Oliveira since his featherweight run, I doubted him badly on Chandler fight and I actually thought Chandler will shatter his cranium due to punches and yet he KOd the KO artist.
Charles took his best shots, defended his leg kicks, outstruck him, knocked him down badly, made him tap, then go to sleep. All under one round. After all that quitting talk. What a humiliation.
Loved how the Crowd went "USA, USA, US... U..." faded because of lack of skills from gaethje. The problem with gaethje is that he still same fighter from years ago. In other hand Charles Oliveira show that his skills gets better and better. And trash talk went wrong again
Charles ripped him the whole fight. Gaethje's knock downs looked intense live. But rewatching from this angle - the body language says it all. Charles had his bearings the whole fight. When Gaethje got knocked down, he looked like he got rocked hard. So amazing to watch!!
I mean I'm an olives fan, but wtf are you talking about, both of Charles knockdowns he got 5 seconds to lay there and recover due to Justin avoiding his gaurd. When Justin got knocked down, olives was on him in a split second. You have no grounds to make that comparison. If justin wasn't afraid of the triangles olives can pull half asleep he could have finished olives each time. Olives has the perfect blend of Mui tai and BJJ
@@icecoldchilipreppers6496 "if he wasn't scared of the triangles" thats the keyword there "if" lol... "if khabib wasnt so dominant he wouldnt have been so dominant" "if i didnt sit on yt all day i could have been ufc champ" etc etc. tf is the point in speaking hypotheticals, the fact is he was terrified of oliveras guard for good reason, hes better than him.
@@chaseorosco9017 dude, for real, the guy has been in brawls his whole UFC career and I’ve never seen him go down like that. Usually he gets hit and wobbles for a couple seconds and is good lol.
gaetjhe has power you can't teach but olivera has power that he learned by honing his precision and timing, he doesn't need to load up to do damage its crazy
Charles is like a snake, when he strikes there's no way to escape!! Standing or on the ground, the opponent clearly feels frightened, and this is visible. He's the biggest UFC sensation right now! His fight is a show for sure. #CharlesBrazil
I feel like he just dropped to bait justin into thinking he was hurt. Justin was like naw you’re playing my game stand up little did he know Charles gots power too lol
Seeing Charles get 'knocked down' from this angle makes me think he was actually just dropping to the mat intentionally to avoid any more big shots. He has that confidence in his guard that it's a safe place for him even when he's rocked.
I'm convinced, Oliviera is the best to ever do it. The composure he has whilst performing perfect technicality during the most intense moments is simply amazing.
Bro he left the tap to the last second after trying his hardest to get out. Not tapping is just plain stupid. Two great fighters by oliveira just a bit too lethal tonight
@@clashwithyourmum8665 kinda doesn’t make sense when Justin is a guy that runs around saying he would never tap and would rather fall asleep, and he did both against khabib and now tapped against olives. He got what was coming from all that bs he was saying
Gaethje got figured out so quickly. His fight IQ is no match for Charles - i think during the fight i counted 4 or 5 times minimum where Justin went for his classic leg kick and Charles simply lifted/checked it, collared him, then uppercut him with the right hand. Justin never adjusted to it. All he had was "being willing to trade in order to land massive haymakers" and Charles figured it out pretty fast - although it did cost him being knocked down twice but THATS why he is the champ. he reminds me of Usman. no matter what happens, his behaviour and intention does not change. Usman never sits back or plays it safe even like when Colby rocked him a couple of times. he fights like he KNOWS he has already won, he steps into the fire and he relies on simply being the more intelligent and better fighter. incredible stuff
Even looked like during those knock downs Charles was playing possum, trying to get Justin in his guard because he knows the clear advantage. Even pulls guard at one point. Well said sir 👏🏽
theres the split second everyone thought Justin broke free you can hear the sigh of relief. du bronx was ready to snatch the souls of everyone that night and crush some dreams dude is a beast
I love Oliveira heart and determination. He is the most exciting fighter in the UFC. Justin needs to be careful with his words. He called Charles a coward who will quit when things get tough but he ended up tapping when things got tough. People need to start putting some respect on Charles name. Charles is starting to become the Tyson Furry of MMA. You can put him down but he won't stay down. Great win Champ 🏆
To be fair it's the same all over the world. Im actually surprise that people in America can legit cheer for fighters from another country because thats no something i see in my country, people recognize talent, sure, but if the guy is fighting a dude from the home country they only cheering for him. You people are very harsh on yourselves.
That's why gaethie and Covington are always fucking nervous in the title fights. If gaethie managed to get up instantly then he would do better like Colby against Usman. But yeah both are overrated as fuck
Lol they definitely are hating on Oliveira 😂💯 wouldn't be surprised if they tampered with the scale just to give that drunk rapist Connor McGregor another undeserved title fight 😂💯
@@joseywales7463 were you watching the same fight? Or are you just sniffing paint? Both times Charles got rocked, he let himself down into open guard cus he knew he needed time to recover. Not the same as being knocked unconcsious
Oliveira is already one of greatest fighters in ufc history. This is his 30th ufc fight & 21st victory in ufc. Man holds several ufc records including most finishes & most submission wins in ufc history 👏👏👏. What a fighter & what a Journey by Oliveira 🙏🙏🙏
Yeah we can't say that forsure we don't know who's the goat of lw division until khabib and Oliveira fight until then people will side with khabib for the 0 in the loss column and the fact he's only lost 1 round in 13 or so fights in the ufc
Charles Olivera is the real deal...he really impressed me. Justin never really had a chance...Olivera has better conditioning, better ground game and probably just as good a puncher as Justin. And that stupid half a pound thing...that's on the UFC, not Olivera's fault. Charles is the real champion and he put Justin away faster than Khabib did.
The point is.. every body knows: _Never give you back. But should be never let him take it because he will find a way to take from you. Charles doBronx, aqui é Brasil. 👊☠💪
Best part is the split second when everyone starts clapping thinking he escaped the ground game only to get his back snatched within a millisecond and put to sleep
Please make this a rematch because Damn that was a great first round!!! The poise and self confidence this dude has is unreal! Justin dropped some heavy bombs that knocked him down. That didn’t bother him at all. He just got up and kept pressuring until he got his shot. There’s always that split second to shoot and take your shot. Some guys go prime mode and take advantage of that. Others don’t know what to do in that moment. Charles always seems to capitalize those moments and make his move!
Justin can swing with the best but I was in MMA for 10 years a lifetime ago. It is clear to see that Oliviera dismantled Justin in a calculated manner with his striking before submitting him. Beautiful 👏
It's amazing watch it from this angle, how fast the pace was..Charles get knocked down and get back as a terminator, you could feel the Gaetjhe's frustration...and speed of those transitions was insane Charles going to become a GOAT.
If you watched the interview before his fight, he specifically mentions that when he gets hit, he'll take an intentional fall (probably to better absorb the energy as well) and get back up fresh and unfazed. Seems like he executed his game plan very well.
Let's all remember this man is nearly blind, plus he had blood dripping down on those eyes?? I think to myself, imagine getting up in the middle of the night with the lights off when the power goes out, arms out etc to feel your way around the dark house, imagine having to fight someone who can see you perfectly who happens to be a savage and beating him up.... He truly is powered by God. What an incredible person 🙌
@@Fumbiii16 Charles gets dropped every single fight. Khabib was literally never in trouble his whole career. How can you even say his resume is better when the best two fighters he fought were his last 2 fights, which Khabib beat even more handedly. I didn't think somebody could be so casual that they didn't see Khabib fight.
@@CharlieSmurffy he beat them faster. Wym. He dominated both his last 2 fights faster. Dustin got him with a sloppy guillotine. Now imagine if that was Charles? He’ll put khabib in danger. Charles is all around better than any fighter rn. He hasn’t faced an opponent with good clinch like him.
The most underrated part is how the crowd went nuts for a second when it looked like Justin was getting back up, then it gets right back to groaning when Charles just transitions to Justin’s back.
One of the most satisfing victories in Ufc history 👏👏👏. Gaethje criticized Oliveira as a quitter. Now Gaethje has tapped out both times that He fought for the undisputed title just like porier, Now who's the real quitter 😂😂😂. Put your respect on Oliveira who's on 11 fight winning streak & Give him the title which he really deserves 🙏🙏🙏.
Charles wasn’t actually hurt either time he went down, you can tell by how seamlessly he gets up, and he’s completely stable… was just lulling Gaethje in
The second one did connect clean Charles posted a picture of himself training in the gym today and he had a black eye I know he wasn't concussed but it must've hurt
@@futureskipper4616 it was just amplified by the awful technique in justins punches leading up to him getting countered, the groundwork was the best part. That’s where he actually snatched his soul and made him quit
I'm not convinced Charles was actually dropped. He looks like he has his feet under him in both instances, especially the second. Looks like he tried to bait Justin into his guard. Either way dropped or not amazing performance
