Making excuses already. If he's not in good shape that means he's been lazy and doesn't deserve to move up or get paid more. Fighters are demanding to get paid more, but they already get paid more than most people that work 40 hours a week, and only get 2 weeks of vacation a year. These fighters are proving they don't deserve to get paid what their ego demands. Fighters that put heart in what they do, are always in shape. Chimaev was in the gym the next day after his controversial decision win over Burns. That's what good fighters do. They don't just fight once a year and then claim to be underpaid.

@@WFshorts Here's my take tho. BJJ beats wrestling because wrestling depends on taking their opponent to the ground and BJJ excels on the ground offensively and defensively. Just like how Craig beats Ankalaev and Silva beats Chael the 1st time and many more. On the other hand, BJJ loses to striking because they lack the explosion to take their opponent to the ground and thus can't utilize their full potential, like Ilia vs Ryan. And lastly, wrestling beats striking because they can take the opponent down and neutralize the striking offense. Fighters often excel in one or 2 of these. Fighters like Khabib, Islam and Khamzat excel at wrestling and BJJ. Fighters like Volk, DC and Jones excel at striking and wrestling. And fighters like Ortega, Oliviera and Holland excel at striking and BJJ. More and more fighters are ofc going into mastering these 3 arts and it will be good for the sport's future.
