I thought jiri looked completely out of it and wouldn’t recover. It reminded me a bit of how Francis looked after that second AJ knockdown, and like Francis he went on to get knocked out immediately after the break stopped.
So many ppl picked Jiri goin into this fight. Pushing the narrative that he possibly had ring rust when him and Alex fought the first time. Jiri's last fight with Rakic showed me that Jiri could never beat Alex. The man can't check a leg kick to save his life and he gets hit clean way too much to the head to last with someone like Poatan
It's different styles of fighting. Jiri's brazen and reckless style of fighting matches well for pereira, but jan blachowicz being the more basic, reserved and technical fighter gave more trouble. I do wonder if we'll ever see ankalaev vs pereira before alex moves up to the HW division

Guru was so salty but Jiri's entire base is striking at a world class level (battered the Reyes who beat Jones, KO'd Oezdemir) and still we already saw Pereira win in the first fight after Jiri had actually taken him down.
