I think Belal is a really nice guy and doesn't mean the things he's saying, he's just trying to be a heel and trash talk to create buzz and keep us talking. He's embracing that role to be relevant.

Everybody wants Shavkat vs Belal. The Boogyman with 100% finish rate is crazy cool. Kamaru do not deserve the title shot. He needs to win at least once for becoming numba 1 contender. Kamaru’s legacy is not so impressive for getting title shot after 3 losses. And again Shavkat is much more exiting guy than Kamaru.

I think the difference in pressure between DDP and Strickland is gonna be the deciding factor for this fight. Strickland has a very defensive pressure, he moves forward but his defense is always impeccable and he rarely eats a ton of damage while moving forward. DDP has intense offensive pressure, he’s always threatening with some sort of something through stance changes, threatening the takedown, and his clinch work, but that being said he eats a TON of damage while doing that. I think this is gonna end up being a measure of stamina and ability to take damage. Izzy is going to piece up DDP on his way in before DDP hits him or takes him down but DDP will get him down. No one that Izzy has fought even approaches DDP in terms of wrestling IMO so it becomes can DDP eat all that damage while coming in because we have seen him get finished and Izzy has beefed up for this fight.
That’s a good take. Can Izzy somehow circle away and land leg kicks to a point where DDPs movements become sloppy? Or is it a case that DDP WILL close the distance and Izzy has to hope he lands big shots on his way in?
Or Tazhudinov who run over the competition at the world championship and the Olympics too, at only 21 years of age, and he is Dagestani of course. He destroyed snyder and sadulaev back to back at the world championship. And he beat snyder again at the Olympics. All of that in the same year, tazhudinov is already an all time great at 21 y. The greatest year of accomplishement in wresling history.
Even without Russia and Dagestan joining olympics, USA wrestling only won 2 gold medals. Japan surprisingly won 8 gold medals, they used that to their advantage.

to be fair khamzat still hasn't lost yet so he still has the right do be emotional because no champ is eager to fight him right now. there's one thing that belal can do better than usman head kicks that break arms, but i don't see belal winning against usman, khamzat or shavkat.

If Izzy is smart he’ll take a page out of Jon Jones’ and Sean O’Malley’s book. Jones with the dirty boxing and kicking at opponents knees and Sean for forcing a fight out of the opponent and countering with good punches.

I have a gut feeling that usman is Izzy’s friend more than Izzy is his friend. Usman always talks about Izzy and praises him but I’ve never heard Izzy mention usman once other than when specifically asked about usman and even then the praising is one way traffic idk.
without a doubt Id love to see Belal against Usman rather than an immediate leon rematch. leon looked absolutely defeated and seems to need a mental break from the sport. It was almost a copy paste of the kamaru usman where he got dominated in every aspect for 5 rounds and seemed to be done for if not for the little bit of life brought up by his coach.

I love Izzy, but Dricus just seems powerful, strong, durable, combine that with his grappling and he might have enough to beat the great Adesanya. Dricus may not be an MMA surgeon, but he's not some dumb chimp fighting.
