Was so excited about Whittaker vs. Chimaev I skipped Ige vs. Murphy. I do add my prediction at the end of the video but I am picking Murphy by decision. I see that Rinat is now fighting Carlos Leal. I like Rinat to win but he will need to wrestle as Carlos is a dangerous striker. Gonna be a tough weight cut for Leal as well as he missed weight a couple times in the PFL. A great signing though as Leal is very good and will likely win a few fights in the UFC.

Khamzat did say that he broke his left hand at the end of the first round. He was barely using his left hand with the striking and wrestling so it did look like it was true. Striking and holding someone down is pretty hard with a broken hand, so I think that was a big factor. I’m definitely picking Khamzat and I’ll be betting him
Ilia's at least as good as max in striking, we will see that in the fight, but anyways, in case he will see himself in trouble he will go to the ground and that will be it for max

You were on the money with most picks. Saying Ilia is a “Brawler” is asinine. His boxing is high level, mixing to the body, piston jab, tight hooks, exits the pocket with his chin down EVERYTIME. Using Emmett as a fight comparison is not a bright idea, a guy who is as short as Topuria and has more power than anyone in the division. Completely different style than Max. Ilia is too good everywhere, I picked Max to beat Gaethje. Ilia will have a subtle calf kick working since Max widens his stance against shorter fighters, Max moves two ways forward or backwards, as well as having his chin in the air constantly, Ilia will throw ruthless body shots and mix in takedowns. Max will be worried about takedowns, the bodywork and get stopped up against the cage TKO round 3.
You have to remember khamzat was sick prior to his usman fight as well but was able to recover in time to compete. We have to assume khamzat is not going to be sick going into the Whittaker fight because he’s talked about making changes to his training camp. I don’t think he would go into a 5 rounder against Whittaker if he wasn’t 100%. He also dominated and got a 10-8 round against usman so i don’t think there’s any reason to believe he wouldn’t be able to do that to Whittaker. Khamzats striking is also a lot better than aliskerov so I don’t think he will have the same fate, but it all depends on if his gas tank will hold up against Whittaker for 5 rounds. I can see him losing 2 rounds, but I think he has enough to win 3 and potentially get a 10-8 round. I see the path for both fighters to win but overall I think the logical pick is khamzat chimaev.

I couldn’t believe it when he said that! Haha ilia has incredible footwork and head / body movement, which closes the space and creates opportunities for the close range KO. One of the only fighters in the UFC that actually moves like a technical pro boxer
Max should just stay at lightweight. His last few weigh-cuts to featherweight have been terrible. Each time he’s looked like he’s knocking at deaths door.
