I think it was just to have less co buttons, like initiating grappling being the old uppercut, spins so that their aren’t as many different combinations of buttons to do spinning attacks, but also you can feint a spin which is pretty sick, my O’Malley is going to go dumby

L1 + R1 + Rear Headkick = showtime kick. Ive been a pettis main since ufc 3. They took out some of his stuff but ima always rock w him. We need a prime pettis alter ego too
I like this change mostly because it will get rid of spin spammers/cheesers online. It also makes sense as spinning attacks irl are difficult to pull off

What I like to do with Petis is the body side kick to push your opponent to the cage. As soon as they hit the cage with their back hit L1 + R1 + circle (southpaw) to do the spinning cage kick. If you hit this you could get a knock out with the first time. Makes for a beautiful knock out replay
I don't play at a high level but I feel like I've seen way, way, waaay more spammers in ufc 5 compared to when I was playing 4 literally a few days ago. I have lost to people hook spamming multiple times, even when I was ahead in the fight@@NazUFC

I am (pretty sure) the straight comes out from the the headkick quicker if you throw them immediately one after another, as it's one of the game's 'correct' combos that are faster

Thanx for the info.I was really lost on how to do any spinning stuff.The way they made the controls for that move set is a little tricky.Once I played around with it more I kinda figured it out a little better.I believe they did it like that ,so there is less spamming going on.That was a huge issue with Jon Jones players I the last one on ranked I noticed.I don’t think it will be going on as much in this one with how they got it now.I am glade they addressed that issue,cuz it was annoying…
They did it.for autistic players who couldn't memorize the controls. They consider us stupid and retarded thats why... lol or people who couldn't press uppercuts which were perfect actually.
Remap buttons or scuf controllers and they are back spamming dw not now give it a few months you’ll see the guys who have figured out the cheesy spinning cheese and elbows knees
idk for sure but for the tornado kick it might be that you are inputting the second spin too early. For ufc 4 to get a 2 kick combo like that there is quite a bit of delay between when you need to input the first and second kick. For a headkick it seemed to be after the kick missed and the foot was back to the ground was when the second kick needed to be used. It took me a while to get the timing for the missed rear head kick to spinning heal kick. Favorite combo from 4 was the lead hook kick to rear leg spinning heel kick.

The straight doesn't come out any faster after spinning. It's about 2 seconds both ways. Just seems faster because you're spinning rather than just standing there.
to be fair it also keeps your opponent guessing rather then them just looking at a straight target, I see no problem using it to change things up@@NazUFC
The showtime kick is just both bumpers and then say when u were doing it in the vid X in southpaw. Basically u need to be in the stance that is facing the cage not away from the cage.
Yeah. This game is all about head hunting. You can have 40 more strikes than your opponent mixing your shots but if he caughts you with an elbow then your fucked
I find it awkward to input the spin controls, and still everytime I go to do a pull counter upcut I’m pulling then going for the clinch😂 gonna need some getting used too.
I used to love the spins in ufc 4 but they made it too slow in this game, my first game online I got a showtime kick its on my channel, the showtime kick is the same as ufc 4. RB LB and A or B depending on the stance you’re in but make sure you stand still and do it
@@Toryslayer123 nope, what I meant is it’s slower to add combos onto spinning moves, my main one was the jab spinning back fist into a jab, uppercut and hook now It takes more time for the spin to end.
The game has a invisible wall between the characters that alone puts it in the realm of a ps2 game. Even fight fight round 4 allowed characters body's to interact. The strikes in this game are garbage the jab , straights and kicks are super slow. What's nuts is the hooks are faster than the jabs.

@@NazUFC like in ufc 2 if I new how to do a certain combo in real life I could do it in game, example lead jab into a lead hook, followed by a rear hand straight to the body, lead upper, then into a rear roundhouse to the head
It means you have to drill the moves instead of spamming. So if you bums out there are having trouble then good ..now learn instead of spammi g hooks ha
