I've given up on the idea of people learning their lesson. There are just too many examples of this. Gamers will never learn that the plate is, in fact, hot and that they shouldn't touch it. The whole issue could be fixed real easy; don't let the hype get to you and don't pre-order. Just wait until it's out and see how it is. But it appears to be an impossible task for way too many people. It's a sad state of affairs, but it is what it is.

I do not understand why people still pre-order games nowadays. The only games I ever pre-ordered were Gears of War 3 (in 2011), and GTA 5 (2013). Those were because I *knew* I wouldn't be disappointed, and I went with all my friends and we were stoked about going to gamestop at midnight and staying up all night to play and share our experiences. Back then, hype was there because it was deserved. We had these devs put out heat before and we knew they weren't messing around. There is literally no reason to pre-order anything in this modern age of gaming because you can just buy it and digitally download it at home instantly. It really baffles me that people are still doing it before we even get reviews.

What are you talking about? Preorders are wayyy down. 46% of 2011s Battlefield 3 launch sales were pre-orders….7% of 2016s Battlefield 1 launch sales were from preorders… And bad games have been flopping like crazy I can name a bunch like Redfall Saints Row Suicide Squad etc. Almost every new AAA game is underperforming sales benchmarks. So Gamers actually are learning and the industry will slowly reach a better place. It’s just gonna take forever lmao

Imagine if career mode had a physical gym you could walk around and train in, customize over time thru winning games and inv ppl to your gym and fight in your own arenas.. so many cool little features that would make the life of these games last, but at the end of the day lack of content makes this an easy manipulative cash grab.. i really remember when games were built to last, for at least as solid 2 yrs before something else amazing comes out that we can put time and passion into..

Kinda like the NBA games that style could actually work well if they did it right like as you said imagine you could walk around in a physical gym and be able to customise it invite people over etc and or also have a big gym for a public with lots of different training equipment octagons to spar/fight in and lots players with their custom fighters or that could walk around freely

For those interested: online mode “ranked” is people exploiting the game, if you don’t know how to exploit or stop it you will most likely lose…the higher up the rankings you go, the more tricks are used lol. BUT: every once in a while you get a solid opponent and it is a great fight.

Fight Night champion’s career mode training is so much better. Your can spar,do drills or increase stats w not sweat just points if you want

I didn't bother getting 5. This just reminded me how terrible this game is, not just in general, but esp for offline players. Still can't believe they didn't add a seasonal/universe mode which would be beneficial for on & offline players & leagues really. I played the beta for like 2hrs and that was enough to know they did nothing. Plus it being on Frostbite, things will only get worse.

Always thought it'd be cool to pick your sparring partners from the roster depending on what gym you're at. If you have a good relationship with a fighter maybe you can convince them to join your gym and if there's a ko in sparing or you get offered a fight against a teammate then it can kickstart a rivalry ... Then fighter relationships would make sense. All in all the career mode needs to come up with a way of showing time passing and showing there's a world outside your fighter. You need to know who's on a win streak, who's getting a title shot and who you're on a collision course with but there's none of that

The fact they're 'patching' it yet still making the game functionally worse with each update. All they had to do was fix the bugs and teething issues of UFC 3 and literally add QoL shit along with updated roster and slap a 4 on that 3 and yeah people would pay for it happily

I hate the mindset of every game must be perfect, because that's just impossible, but ea is a multi billion dollar company and have had IPs that are amazingly good, but EA ruins them. Like star wars battle front 2 is a perfect example, absolutely awesome game, cool concepts, you got duels, you get boots to the ground battles, you have dog fighting in planes, you get everything all in one package, yet the game Is riddled with micro transactions, pay walls, and mechanics that fail the game. Then when the game picks up in popularity they pull the plug and stop servicing the game, and not making a 3.

I still play UFC 3 ultimate team. UFC 3 is still the best imo. I bought UFC 4 on sale back in the day and I regret it. Its crazy how talent is regressimg for AAA titles. They're making worse games on better consoles for a higher price point now, doesn't add up.

Totally wrong❌ EA Sports UFC is a "fight simulation" game, don't expect more than that. In games that involve fighting and 360° cinematography, it is very normal to see errors, but they are not frequent. This game offers you what UFC fans are looking for... it's everything.

i just got my PS5 last night, i was going to buy UFC 5 when it was on sale but i refuse to give EA $70 for what I already knew going into it was going to be terrible. glad I got recommended this video before buying it. I played it for about 3 hours and deleted it. It sucks. I had i think 5 fights in career and was put against Dustin poirier. I think i had one backyard fight and got signed to ufc lol it was actually worse than 4. Had about 3 exhibition fights and as khabib had connor controlling me on the ground. Just gave up after that. A clunky mess to say the least.

ea isn’t just doing this with ufc, the exact thing is happening with their fifa titles now called eafc. they claim to have “improved movement” but it’s the worst gameplay they have ever released. they’re honestly more focused on the store packs rather than fixing their garbage servers and gameplay

There is zero variety Becuase all the fighters fight the same. Just spam takedowns and counter all fight. Funny thing is I haven't played it but the ai is the same as 4.

I played UFC 2 for the longest time and avoided 3. Two years ago I got UFC 4 and hated it, and eventually went back to playing UFC 2. A couple of months ago, I had an urge to play a new UFC, so I finally picked up UFC 3. The career mode was better than 4 and 2’s. The gameplay was unfortunately like 4 but not as bad somehow, but still not as fun as 2. End result, I like UFC 3 but nowhere near as much as UFC 2 and I’ll stick to playing 2. I will add that I was good at the ground game in 2 and could foil opponent transitions most of the time. In UFC 3 I’m just ok at the ground game, but somehow I can only stop transitions from full or half guard. I just can’t counter transitions that well in 3. In UFC 4, forget countering anything or even stuffing takedowns, they just hardly ever work. That’s one of the real reasons that I like UFC 2 over the rest. I can have back and forth fights on the fee, the clinch, or even on the ground. It was always exciting to play, and even more fun to try to end fights in certain ways.

That’s one thing i hate about EA’s UFC games. You can KO them so brutally and they stand next to you after its over. UFC Undisputed 3 did that best. You tko leg kick a opponent and you wont see him next to you.

EA made fight night champion in 2011, it had a balanced and realistic cut/ swelling system. 13 years later, they package it as a 'new' system, and completely ruin it. Same thing with the training, fight nights training actually helped you get better and it wasnt 90% of the experience like it is in the ufc games. Train for 20 mins, fight for 2. Fucking hate ufc 5

I agree with ALL of these points and im going to add a few they took out 15 submissions that were in ufc 4 aswell as the osato gari trip, the imanari roll and leg locks. The game LITERALLY says get leg locks to level 3 to unlock the imanari roll and NEITHER are in the game

The issue of boring mini games in career mode has been unfixed since knock out kings boxing on ps1, as well as the issue of rematching the same people over and over at the end of a career. I'm glad I sat out ufc 4 and 5 watching this.
