I had to make a fun compilation out of all of the prefight and post fight antics surround UFC 300's main event. Did I miss your favorite "analyst"? Let me know in the comments below. #ufc300 #ufc #mma #alexpereira
I thought Jamal would be much bigger somehow but no. His size 100 feet didn't factor in at all. Alex is an absolute legend. Very few people can do what this man has done. Anthony Smith would get absolutely FOLDED by Alex.
Favourable match ups are a helluva thing. Until I see Periera beat a quality grappler then he's just a champion kickboxer being fed strikers. Ankaliev will be the first real test he's had, if he nullifys Ankalievs grappling then I'll be impressed. His legs are there just waiting to be doubled lol
What makes Alex so great is that everyone DOES know what his strengths are. They know what his gameplan is. But they still can’t stop it. Like Khabib’s wrestling, they know what Alex is going to do. And they can’t stop it. Respect the skill.
It is basic tbh, a complete mastery of the fundamentals applied at the highest level. It’s just a left hook, a basic punch, but it’s been mastered to the highest degree to the point where it drops you with just a touch.
@@lambsauce9544 he should have given his friend a "better secret weapon" to use in that fight hahaha come on, it's obvious izzy's upset pereira keeps winning. he's 0/3 with his predictions and was proved wrong every time hahah
@soundcerebellum Lmao “real power” Only if he gets lucky with his footwork being in the right spot Dude is naturally strong but that’s half the battle, he’s just not smart enough to know how to use it like Alex does
This video encapsulates so much of the absurdity leading up to this fight that I just couldn't wrap my mind around. I read and heard some of the most hairbrained predictions for Hill to win that it was astounding. I truly don't think half of the people had actually watched Hill fight before spouting off.
Chael is a master wordsmith.. he said that purposely to remind everyone that the obvious is the OBVIOUS for a reason. Don't over think the obvious, and it was obvious that one man is on a top-tier level, while the other was a few tiers below that.
Even Johny Walker has KO'd Johny Walker. Dude with no chin is the analyst's benchmark LMFAO, dude could not drop Glover, and he got severely hurt by Glover too, Alex has infinitely more power than Glover, people just like to hate on the GOAT.
Did you miss thiago santos, jimmy crute, osp, poppeck lol what are you talking about dude definetly has some kos and has power and its true hes never been kod before this but hes nowhere near the power scale of alex, rumble, or henderson but to say its a myth did you just start watching ufc 😂😂😂😂
With Bisping, both make the pair. Neither of them is or has been great or smart fighters. Both are pawns of the UFC and don't speak their own mind. DC who was actually better at fighting has even worse takes because when he is not totally biased, he's a total yes man for the UFC. (including praising Jones and UFC had DC throwing flowers at Pico telling everyone how good and how great of a human being he is after Jones f'ed him up nastily... Twice!)
@@user-cw2nr2bz8iI agree with all of that except the DC praising Jones because of UFC. I think DC did that entirely for his own reasons. To get over his own rivalry, to move on. As an athlete to be honest about how talented Jon was. Jon didn't need the Picograms, he didn't really even need to train that seriously. DC tries to be the good mature role model dad-coach kinda guy.
Izzy's the only one with the kickboxing pedigree to validate his opinion..But fucking Felder and Smith? Where do they get the confidence to criticize the stand-up skills of a 2 division GLORY champ lmao!!
Izzy absolutely has the skill and experience to talk about Periera, he knows how to beat him....however he is very bitter towards Alex and that does seem to blur his predictions. Not every fighter is a kicker like Adesanya
It's funny how izzy always picks against alex even though he should know better lol he's 0/3 with his predictions. Probably trying to manifest and pray on alex's downfall lmao
2 division Glory kickboxing Champion, 2 division UFC champion, punching power record n many more accomplishments. Guy trained Strickland to beat dogbender lol. Alex is a gem & a true champion.
The truth is everyone has been hating on Alex. It’s always something his style his awkwardness, too basic, doesn’t have a chin, no grappling bla bla bla. They are all haters because he came in and humbled everyone took two belts and a lot money and none of these guys could do it.
Facts bro, they have this mindset of this guys is too good to be true and they just expect his next fight to be his downfall not really looking into his intelligent setups and skills, everyone knows what is coming but couldn't do a damn thing to stop that nuking left shows how well he Hides it behind all other strikes.
@@stevemadden5867to play devil’s advocate, the Izzy fans does have a foot to stand on. Izzy knocked the life out of Alex the last time they fought. Yes, it’s 3-1 but recency bias and fight fans goes hand in hand. To them it’s still 1-1 in mma.
@@fearlesseye5896 izzy talks out of his ass often though. he downplayed and predicted alex losing in his last 3 and was wrong every time lol he even tried to implement that alex doesn't outclass anyone in the build up to the hill fight lol..
Alex stepping on Jamahal's foot to stop him from moving away from the left is high level stuff, thats something only a decade of kickboxing experience gives you.
simple. in many situations they are not analysts. They are fans, dressed as analysts. Many of them, too, They are envious, irritated by the speed at which Alex achieved everything.
he's just salty and downplaying alex cause he's upset alex is accomplishing everything and beating all the guys could not. he's downplayed and picked against alex in his last 3 fights and was wrong every time lmaooo
Izzy is just repeating what Hill said and relating it to his fights with Pereira saying he was often winning until getting caught, which is absolutely truthful. I don't understand the fascination with taking things out of context when the full clip is extremely accessible.
@stevemadden5867 He picked Alex to beat Jan, and in the last 2 fights Pereira was fighting people Izzy is close to, he was just picking his friends to win. If there's genuine reasons to hate go nuts, don't make shit up.
@@aarondenyerful It's the fanbase that like to antagonize eachother. In reality they both have huge respect for eachother, but jabbing eachother on social media is a win win for them because it just means a bigger payday for their 3rd mma fight.
izzy was winning all the fights he got koed in, in the ufc he was up 3-1 and in the kickboxing fight he was also winning. it’s not hard to understand this concept.
this and the video you posted before made me subscribe. really simple but well made videos and analysis, and humor with this one in particular. i look forward to what you'll make in the future.
Exactly, he was clearly there to make fun of Alex and joke about him, if he lost. He wasn’t there to watch a former foe, he was there loaded to disrespect him if he lost, then pretend to be humble in interviews… typical Izzy stuff.
I was so blown away by all the analyst picking hill. I've never been more sure poatan was going to knock some dude out in my life. Its like people forget Hills been sitting out for 8 months nursing an extreme injury as well. When Alex has possibly the best kicks in the game.
@@musayibghani3986his takedown defense was the reason he won the fight against jan stuffing his rnd 2 and 3 takedowns and who has he looked hittable against jiri ? one of the best most unpredictable stand up guys look what happened to rakic styles make fights and jamahal hill is a bad matchup to put against alex to beat alex at stand up in mma you need a guy like jiri or izzy that does a lot of unorthodox movements and feints to theow alex off when fighters are just “feeling it out” in front of alex it always ends bad for them
@@leanskii He's looked hittable against Bruno Silva, Izzy, Jiri, Jan. He's been taken down by Izzy, who had 0 takedowns up until this point and he got taken down by Jan again who's wrestling isnt his strong point. Jamahal winning wasn't a crazy prediction. But fair play to Alex shut all of that down.
@@musayibghani3986he fought 5 champions and stopped 4 of them Hard to dominate every second of a fight when your opponent is as high lvl as it gets And all in all alex showed against everyone that he is the much better striker and is a superior fighter Hill is a bum compared to alex
You can clearly see the arrogance of these frustrated fighters, who have spent their entire lives in the organization and have not managed to do in decades what Alex has done in 2 years... Alex is a man of focus, commitment and great willpower... Just keep moving forward Alex Poatan. Let those damn frustrated fighters cry and make excuses. Congratulations Alex, congratulations Brazil.
🥳🤣💥Poetic Justice💥 Totally Loved it! CHAMA 🥰😍🤩😂🥳💥🔥 ALEX NOCKED JAMAHAL'S SPIRIT OUT OF HIS BODY WITH HIS PINKY FINGER 😁 IMAGINE IF IT WOULD HAVE BEEN HIS ENTIRE FIST 💥 POW💥
I avoid videos like this at all costs but the name wasn't that click baity and you got me this time.... thanks for not wasting 8 min of my time great video and great edits
Jamal still is delusional. He said HE GOT CAUGHT!!! Dude Alex set you up from the beginning of the fight... He had a plan and executed it perfectly. People talk about Jamal being underestimated but never talk about Alex being underestimated. He transitioned all his kickboxing skills to MMA perfectly and it's working for him. I personally want to see him fight someone with a solid ground game too, to see how he does. But still he nailed every milestone possible and still he's being undermined and underestimated.
@@bestcocbaseswithlink5069 and ankalaev will be next so that will be the big test since he has better wrestling than both Jan and Jiri I hope Poatan wins and cements his already incredible legacy
Jan was very solid on the ground controlling Alex . He just didn't have the damage on the ground and submission threat needed to get Alex out of there. Ankalaev will be the biggest ground threat so far. Not just controlling but GnP and submission threats. If he doesn't sub or Tko Alex on the ground then I believe Poatan will get the tko victory .
Pereira's celebration is probably the coldest ... just absolute sheer mockery. It's insane that UFC 300 managed to have all these utterly insane moments...so much so that nobody is even talking about a fighter getting choked completely unconscious at the end of a round, and coming out for the next round...
It wasn't just the finish, it was the way he covered Herb's hand with his right and then knock Hill off his feet with the left. Easily in the top ten most bad ass things I have ever seen in MMA
This vid annoys me as he shows a clip of Alex fighting Izzy in mma for the first time saying that Alex beats his opponents the whole time up to the knockout then uses that clip what proves his point wrong as Alex was loading that fight up to the ko
I mean I never sleep on any fighters and I thought maybe he’d shock us but nope. Man got slept. Still think Tom ragdolls him if Alex ever steps up to HW
I mean we can accept it (and I appreciate it too) but let's not pretend that both Izzy and Alex didn't hugely benefit from a lineup of fights to the title that contained almost ZERO high level grapplers.
There are no elite level grapplers on the top of the LHW division now, Ankalaev has 0 wins via submission. He's from Dagestan but that doesn't make him an elite level wrestler. Poatan can be beaten but not on the ground, he's big and now he has good TD defense.
@soundcerebellumno its not lets be honest. Brock lesnar got UFC belt. In boxing you need to be elite in one specific skillset. Mma has so much more variables in play. It isn’t “Easy” but compare it to other sports. It’s just not as specific
Also the most competent. Beat boxers, judo, bjj, kickboxing or whatever you can come up with. Yes Alex specialized in kickboxing and he added ground game into his asset
In Brazil, it's the same story with soccer. Most "experts" probably never even kicked a ball. Additionally, former players who were just above average are often wrong about their predictions. They may be blind to certain aspects of the game or have distorted views. Great video.
And it's funny cause when you have someone who isn't a fan of polemics, like Tostao, who have been making great statements for so long and no one takes a look at his texts cause it doesn't get people to hate or love hahaha it's just pure analysis. He said things like "you can't compare Maradona to Pelé, you can compare Maradona to Ronaldinho Gaucho and Cristiano Ronaldo to Pelé, they are different kinds of players". And yeah idk why I brought that up, I agree with you 100%.
Anthony smith is a disgrace. It’s one thing to be a middling journeyman with no legacy to speak of. It’s another, to never shut up or try to disparage fellow competitors who are clearly levels above you. Props to Jan Blachowicz, he ate a couple of left hooks from Alex, whilst every other LHW fell.
Jan is a genuine beast, he’s still underrated even when he was a defending champ. He’s over 40 and still went to a draw with that bird faced Russian and went to a split with Poatan.
Smith: "We are the greatest fighters on earth, on paper" Izzy: "We manifested this" Hill: "The Champ is here!" Smith: "Hey guys how did it end with that guy Pereira?" Hill: "It was Herb Dean's fault" Izzy: "I beat that guy one time"
I "love" how they never compared the level of competition Alex faced with what Hill faced. They really tought Hill was levels above in striking than a Glory kickboxer lmao
I'll tell you bro, they saw him KOing no chin Johnny Walker who can't box for shit and only gets KOes doing bullshit explosive stuff and No knees Thiago giving up a TKO due to accumulated damage and gassing out, and believed He is going to KO Alex 😂 but we gotta give props to Hill for showing such confidence that these analyst bought into it 😂😂😂
