UFC's Michael Chandler Under FIRE For Remarks On Raising BLACK Adopted Sons 

I highly doubt that Michael Chandler cares what the Internet thinks about his choices or his Beautiful boys. It sounds like he is doing what he knows to be right.

How about we stop describing "black" people as a different species.

If he said he was going to raise the kids as black children, I'm sure that black woman would have something to say then.

I don’t think she understands that there is always a preference to place children in a family with their own race. So does she want to leave these kids in foster care?

Chandler never said "I don't see color", Chandler said "color doesn't matter". And what exactly are those "experiences" that children would be missing? By the way... No one said anything while those children were abandoned in an orphanage. And now everyone has something to say.

Lady you are so wrong to automatically assume the life these children will have! Everyone deserves a home that they are loved, nurtured, and feel safe and secure in. And one more thing! Stop with the black and white. We are all people!

Why does any race have to have a particular culture? Plus, why does she talk about Black people as if they are from a different planet?

I foster children and I don't have a rule that I only take in one race. 😢 I answer my phone to Social Services anytime day or night and welcome in my home All of the children who are brought to me. Red, white, or tan they all are scared and lonely and need love and compassion. Not just one but all of them. Boys and girls who need to be treated the same ❤ because they should know that they All should be treated the same in the world and not taught your different than others. The world is full of people who look different but we're all One human kind, we are all the same except for color of your skin. One love ❤

Culture..like growing up homeless and involved in the street, vs experiencing life with a family that at the very least not financially challenged

Ive seen so many adopted black people who had white parents say they had a wonderful childhood and only experience racism from a few black people. What were those certain people doing to help the situation 😊

I think perspectives on both sides seem a little off while watching this. I agree with: 👉🏾 You don’t have to be the same skin color to adopt a baby. 👉🏾 Seeing color and embracing the culture of said child is important but I’ll add it’s important to see black culture as a positive communal experience not just some response to whiteness or racism. However the response “why are they so many black children needing to be adopted”. Is somewhat of an inflammatory false gotcha moment. In 2022… 43% were white children waiting for adoption and only 21% were black. We have the third LEAST percentage of children waiting to be adopted but the responses seem to suggest that we are leading the charge here. Needless to say majority of ALL cases were because parental rights were terminated and these parents (not just the mothers ) were unfit to care for the children for whatever reason. Thankfully most of the children adopted that year were adopted by foster parents so if concerned this is a great way for people to get involved and help ANY child. You will most likely get a white child though. 🤷🏾‍♀️ Racial tension in this country causes people to feel distrust with each other often and lean into to stereotypes like “color blindness” and “the ghetto black mother” tropes but truthfully if you have a heart for people you will be more willing to understand that judge on EITHER side.

Hats off to those that help children in any way big or small. Race don’t matter

Michael Chandler is a great Man and His Children will have an amazing life.

The way I see it is it shouldn't matter what color the parents are the main thing is the children as long as they are loved by who adopts them that is what matters not the color of the parents

Just seen a video of a white paramedic that adopted a black kid after he witnessed his dad murder his wife. Should this not have happened? Is not been thought about his blackness bad in this situation?

I am not black but since when being black means ONE thing. You can be black and have totally different experiences and culture as other black people. There are black people from the Caribbean, from Africa that is a continent with 50+ countries inside which all have different cultures and customes, from the UK, who are Latinos and much, much, much, more. The only thing in common this people will have is the color of their skin being similar between one another. As long as you raise a child correctly and lovingly, nothing else should matter.
