I wish the US would start adopting more Korean and Japanese foodstuffs. Yeah, we get udon and ramen and bibimbop but the general way food is combined is so different. I personally love the sweet and savory stuff, all the TEXTURES!! American food is often homogenous and when there is a place that does something “atypical” it usually does well, we just don’t ever see it wide scale. Hawaii is the only place I can think of in the states (other than koreatowns in big cities) where you can get a nice selection of these sorts of combos. Edit I cannot understand how QUIET these kitchens are?!?? I also wish I knew what all the components were…some of the sauces etc. I saw onions caramelized and whatnot but some of the prepared condiments were too hard to discern.
Looks very delicious. I would not be able to open my mouth big enough to take a bite and it would end up falling apart 😄😄😄😄. The equipment is actually a brand name UFO, amazing. A lot of preparation for everything.
OMG Yes to all of them ( fried egg burgers).. Now I have to go shopping in the morning and make me a fresh burger. Time to get the meat grinder off the shelf and put it in the table like my Grandmother used to do and grind my own because I can and know how, just been too lazy and buying it ground already.
So, let me get this right. The cook put the uncooked patties towards the edge of the grill then placed the cooked patties towards the edge when they were all done?
I assumed the ufo burger would have been something like a waffle batter for the "bun", the fact it's just compressed bread makes me less enthusiastic about it.
I see that it’s popular in this location to make burgers as tall as buildings. And some of them serve then without wrapper. I don’t like that. I can’t imagine how much of a mess I would make. But would love this, if the toppings were cut in half. Where I’m from it’s about the proper balance of flavors. Not “how much can you squeeze in to a sandwich” with the clear point being that it’s never going to fit in your mouth. I don’t care about feeling impressed because it’s huge. I want a delicious sandwich in an edible size where I can taste everything all at once!
