@@zirkoni42 Cheating by definition means playing in a way that subverts the rules. In the view that in OpenXcom you just pick and choose the rules you want to play by you are not cheating. However compared to the original XCom rules you chose completely altered game mechanics which under most definitions would be equivalent to hacks i.e. subverting rules. In the original version of this first XCom game you couldn't set up the layout of your first base, you couldn't arm grenades before deployment, you couldn't reorder troop deployment, heck you couldn't even open doors without walking through them. Those are game mechanics changes you chose to create a different game for yourself.
