Great, bringing up stats that only support one sided argument. Sander Berge is the best passer of the options, better pass accuracy, long pass, forward pass accuracy and frequency, better under pressure and saying he’s slow because he’s tall is just lazy analysis. He isn’t slow. Don’t like Berge that much but let’s have a fair assessment
Come on Mark, don't be a hypocrite. You use stats to compare Berge and Ugarte, but a few weeks ago when you were looking up Casemiro's stats and they were quite good, your attitude then was "stats mean nothing". So which is it? Do they mean something or do they not mean something?
Which will put us at a disadvantage at the start of the season, the mentality of the players will be worse off, the dead wood will stay in their spots and continue to be mediocre.... thats what we will get for being 'financially smart' ... we need to unload these useless squad players and bring in hungry players that want to prove something and fight.... Maguire... Sancho, Mount, McTominay, Wan Bissaka, Lindelof, ... only McTominay fights for the club but he is simply not a top class midfielder... the rest are deadwood dead weight.... almost forgot Mount has the Number 7 shirt.... whose genius idea was giving that to him ???? No accountability.
💯 agree with this! Enough of overpaying on ‘Utd Tax’. Look at Sancho, Maguire, Antony and all the other silly deals of recent years. Walk away, find a #2 target for less.
Bro it’s so irrational. Rather overpay for Uguarte because that’s what he wants. How is sander berge or let alone Joao Gomes more of a risk. They have premier league experience and have done well
So sanderberg is your standard?😂😂😂😂😂😂and if another man is saying not good enough and would prefer zubamendi and ugarte but your having a go at man who chose bettrr😂😂😂😂😂😂sit down and keep quiet mate before you post a dumb respond
I'm sure Mark has never seen Sander Berge play tbh .... lol He may not be all that but i reckon he'll be a good signing. Some players just need that next move to actualize their real potential Just saying Of cz not all players are like that but with this one i just think he might step up and have that aura
You're bigging up Ugarte stats compared to everyone else despite previously talking about how pants that league is!! He could come to the prem and have worse stats than all of those! He's a risk as well!
Sander berge may not be united quality but mark is only saying stats to prove his point that ugarte is better but for small team..berge has better progressive passes and carries than ugarte and shot block,,clearance also he is better..he is also not slow..he clocked 35.90 km/h which is faster then any other united player
I dont know if he is ugarte of zubimendi but for him to act like he wont do anything good for us in midfield is crazy and say stuff like he is slow. He should watch him more before saying that type of stuff. He is a good player. But would look for better if possible
Sander Berge is a decent player, i've watched him plenty of times for the national team. His best attributes imo is his strength, balance, composure and ball carrying. He's no world beater, but then again he has all his career played in underdog teams, so can he be his best at a club like United? I doubt it.
Ugarte is not as good as Mark thinks. He's highlighting stats from a farmer's league. He won't be as successful as you think. PSG have underperformed in the UCL and Uruguayan midfielders were terrible in the Copa America.
If they do over pay,you people cry and say the people running this club are jokers.but if they don't you still cry and say the same about them.if they chose not to over pay and stand on thier word, then I say change is here.
So Mark doesn't want Berge because 'no-one else is looking at him', but then says the Ugarte deal could still happen because 'no-one else is looking at him.'
I think UTD and INEOS are trying to bring back the old days UTD was making deals when SAF was the manager. Bring decent/good players who will fight for the batch and who are at affordable prices on the market. Their salary also will not be astronomical compared to what we actually have at UTD. That's why we are having some trouble selling some players or players not wanting to leave the club
Your spot on yo! But look at these people who believe players like sanderberg should baught and they're the same people want mctominay, wan bisaka,McGuire,SANCHO,rashford, shaw to remain at the club because they like them..SMH
Last week you said Man Utd won the transfer window., today you are saying it's a shambles and Ineos are Glazer puppets. No way this squad finishes top 4.
I'll throw a name out there. What about Konrad Laimer at Bayern? He's a number 6, but he can also play as a right back and higher up in central midfield. He's a very versatile player. I remember being impressed with him in their champions league games last season. Also with Bayern signing Palhinha this summer, i imagine his playing time is going to be restricted. Laimer signed for Bayern in the summer of 2023 on a free transfer so i cant imagine they would ask for some insane fee for him.
You can actually have a good player in a bad team. Which would expose his weaknesses, a bad player in a good teams weaknesses would be covered, Berg might actually be a good player in a bad team
Mark referring to stats (which he says doesn’t mean anything) Then realising Berges stats aren’t that bad so changes the subject 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 maybe do some more research
brings up that no one is looking at berge but who else is interested in ugarte? got it in his head that ugarte is this elite midfielder who will solve all our problems when he’s nowhere near that, at least berge has premier league experience 🤷♂️
Mark is delusional.. Berge is a good midfielder people who say hes like mctominay clearly hasnt watched him. Better tackler, better passer, better positioning. Then mark talks about who is after him? Im like who cares whos after him. Hes a good player but hes a cm.. There is a dm player at porto called alan varela. Hes a beast
Obviously I’d rather Ugarte but Berge is a good player. He’s a great passer and retains the ball well. He could be one of those players who we bring in and he kicks on and shows what he’s about without the small club label attached to him.
Manchester City just sold their backup striker for $80 mil at a 5 times profit and we are struggling to offload Uruguay’s starting winger and swedens captain
United need to go through this of finally ending the ridiculously overpaying for players. Even if it means not getting targets for this year and going for lesser targets. Short term pain for long term gains.
All well and good Ineos being shrewd, but if they end up being too strict and we then end up with just Yoro & Zirkzee as our main two signings, how is that any improvement on our squad/depth from last season!
This is the downside to having to sell to buy. If we had brought in a new RB and he knew he wouldn't even make the bench, he would be in a hurry to leave. When players know you need them to leave to buy new players, the power resides with them.
Ugarte back on now. Was off last night. Ffs. Goldbrige is starting to become a laughing stock how many here we goes have we had in the last two weeks. As reliable as the daily sun lol
Fabrizio isn't getting any information from United. He can't know what United plan to do. If PSG don't want to do sensible business and we have to go for the alternatives like Sander Berg or anyone who can do a job for us for one season then that will have to be enough for this year. No one said Sander Berg is our first choice midfielder for the next 5 years!
There's only about £3m of unamortised fee on the books for AWB, anything above that is a profit in this years accounts and for FFP. If we get £18m for him and pay him £2m to cover his reduced wages we'll book a £13m profit. If we replace him with Mazraoui for £15m and put Mazraoui on a low wage of say £50k then he'll be costing us less for FFP than AWB was costing us, AND we have that £13m profit that can be put towards another signing.
Right, this is whats happening. Utd are basically telling PSG, the deal is off if they dont lower their price. If PSG lower the price, Utd will negotiate. If they dont, we wont eb buying Ugate. Some of our fans really need to learn the art of patients
I'm not saying this Burnley midfielder is good but Mark rather buy names n players from big club. A player can come from anywhere and perform way better than big names players from big club
Like the old saying, It's going to get worse before it gets better. United are a mid table team and will remain so until the deadwood is cleared out and a new manager is in place that knows what he is doing
I like the statement, "even Fulham are not going for Sunderberg. We don't know our priorities. You stick to your value. You don't drop it because of the price. Price must not determine. What we want must determine with the best alternatives not substandards.
Mark is an Elitist. He just plays down players who don’t play in big clubs. Guirassy is a beast but apparently he doesn’t watch him so he’s crap and Amrabat is crap as well apparently. Amrabat isn’t 1st choice level but calling him bench is disrespect. Mark = Prem merchant
I've been saying since the start of the window we should take a punt on Guirassy. He had a great season last year and is available for peanuts! He's a proper striker.
So you won't take Andre for 35 mil to replace Casemiro because he never played in the prem, but you will take Ugarte for 60 mil who never played in the prem either? Come on Mark you are contradicting yourself, also using Ugarte's stats in a farmer's league is ridiculous. It's okay to have bias or preference for Ugarte, but it is not ok to make him look like he's the best thing since sliced bread.
Mark if you were a Liverpool you would have complained when they bought Mane and Robertson from Southampton and Hull. If we buy Berge let’s give him a chance eh?
With regard to interest in Sander Berg, i was under the impression that we now have a best in class recruitment team? Presumably, if correct, Ashworth and Wilcox and co, have indentified this player as being of interest? What are we to make of this? Is Mark implying they don't know what they're doing? Just cause he wouldn't cost £60m, is he obviously useless? Five questions. let people do their jobs, if they fail, they fail.....
Don't mind this deluded Goldbridge, he knows nothing. He wants Man Utd to pay over the odds once again for Ugarte, and he will still be the one lambasting them for paying high. He has two mouths
there isnt one article saying rabiot is demanding 250k a week. the proposed deal caps at 8m which is 200k annually more than eriksen. eriksen is on 150/wk
Ugarte play for psg and in farmers league and not many good teams in french league Sander berge play in burnley relagation batle in premier league so his stats may be slighly below since he play for burnley and he has huge job to cover in midfield
Well, I must say that Berge was one of the key players of my club KRC Genk, when we became Belgian champions in 2019. Trossard also played for us at the time 😉 and Clement (Rangers) was our manager. And yes, I know, the Belgian league is nothing compared to the PL 🙂.
ZUBIMENDI is a different player compared to ugarte. ZUBIMENDI excels in the first phase but anything after that is just regular. He isn’t as mobile as ugarte neither does he have the same work rate which is what we need to compliment Mainoo
I know many don't like it, but I think Sancho can be used this year and have a break out season and drive his value up more for next summer sale. Versatile option for the Left and Right and Striker.
I’d leave them stuck with him now! They want to take the piss so can we. They’ve already signed his replacement 😂 They want what they paid for him 😂 Nobody else in for him 😂
The Premier League is starting next week and we're facing Man City this week with that Squad!!? INEOS haven't really done much have they, where are the revolutionary signings like Liverpool made with players like Mane, Van Dijk, Salah, Wijnuldum, Fabinho etc.. Why are we stuck chasing unwanted players like Ugarte and De Ligt like what was the point of Dan Answorth and that Avengers Assemble recruitment Team?? This ain't the National Team the pool is Global, there are many Talents out there your work is to spot them.
Defenders with legs will resolve United's problems. Playing a high line means every one in high up and can run back to cove unlike Evans and Marguire who are very slow. Casemiro as a 6 is master class if the back 4 do their job. Proof is the first half against Liverpool last week
Dude says stats don't matter until he wants them to matter then doesn't mention that Ugarte is in a team of gold players in a terrible league whole Berge is in a terrible team on the toughest league in the world.... I'm not saying I'm for Berge, just calling out hypocritical Mark, again
lol at the regurgitate news and pass it off at their own, while being bff with a guy openly accused of stealing news from others and photographs for his work. I’m guessing I get banned for this, worth saying anyway. He’s not an authority.
Was going to say something similar. Marks' obsession with Romano is becoming tiresome. Yes, Sky Sports might have said something today that Romano might have already said, but not everybody watches TUS, so the only time they know something is when Sky say it.
Goldbrigde and people think he is slow, that is simply wrong. At least Mark should have known. He is actually really fast, but because of his height, he looks slower. He's like his fellow Norwegians of 6'5 + Ajer and Haaland - tall strong and fast.
If we signed both the De Ligt and Mazraoui we don't really need a DM who have an extremely good passing because our defenders is more than capable enough to do that, even Yoro is very good at that and we already saw it in pre season, what we need is a monster tackler who can win us the ball and Ugarte is definitely the man for that job, if there's other alternative who is as good as him with cheaper price i don't mind if we go for that person the problem is there isn't
@@garybrads1gbi saw him play and i think he's ok, his passing is good his vision as a DM is also ok, but my issue is with him is he's not aggressive enough, i believe what we need is a ferocious DM someone like Licha who wouldn't think twice to unleash a tackle so yeah it has to be Ugarte
As a Norwegian… no. No Berge. He does not have the intensity and raw force in those moments when you need it. When the going gets tough, Berge goes hiding.
Surely ETH ideal number 6 is a footballing 6? Someone who wants the ball and looks after the ball, only player we have who looks after the ball is kobbie, Zubimendi is clear of ugarte
