I didn't hate the sleeved jerseys. My problem was that they also had so many other bad design choices that had nothing to do with the sleeves (the lack of numbers on the front of the Christmas ones, the weird side stripe and incomplete gray stripe of the Celtics jerseys, the Warriors ones where the jersey and shorts are ever so slightly different, etc.).
