started bingewatching Ugly Betty since they put it on Netflix. Parts of that show didn't age spectacularly well but it was very progressive for its time. And funny as hell. 4 seasons of Daniel Meade slowly falling in love with his geeky assistant. I'm still mad they didn't actually kiss on screen in the finale. He literally followed her to another country because he couldn't deal with her being so far away.

Alexis whole character is being the trans character, mostly of the jokes are about her being trans, it didn't aged well at all, but back then, a trans character on a show was pretty progressive@@Toymonkeyjr

Am I crazy that I love that it didn't age well? As much as most things aren't okay to say today & it's for the best, it's kinda refreshing to go back to a time when things could be joked about & nobody was sensitive over it 😂❤

Ugly Betty is such a good show and the only reason I think it ended was because it got moved to the Friday night death slot. With how tv works today I think a reboot would be a huge success and I would be very excited to watch.

@@spirittammykbut it's part of hispanic culture to be attached to your family/be family oriented, so it makes perfect sense that her family played a big part in the show. plus they're funny & entertaining

this was really great interview! like many of us, i clicked for michael urie and ugly betty nostalgia, but sherri's interest in his hobbies and her sense of humour really helped set it apart from other talk show segments that i've watched recently

I ugly cried when ugly Betty ended!! I hated for the end of season 4 to come! Papi, Hilda, Justin!!! I’m gonna miss them!! Marc and Amanda!!! Ughhh this cast was chefs kiss!!! This show was amazing in every way!! I hate that it ended!

I remember meeting Michael at Second City in Chicago in 2014 and asked him about the reboot. I really hope they do it. At least just a movie would be great! I just want to see Daniel and Betty together for at least one scene!! Would love to see what the rest of the gang is up to!
