Hello. I saw some dolls on pinterest and wanted to figure out how to make one. I hope this video will inspire you join me in using our scrap fabrics to make cute dolls. Thank you for watching! Angelina
I would love to make a boy doll with a little business tie to show he is having a flustered work week. Having simple accessories you could make a whole series of people and occupations. I might get my daughter to make mammy, daddy and herself. Very very sweet. Thanks.
I so enjoyed this tutorial of yours. Your commentary was hilarious. I can identify with how you approach the making of your scrappy monster dolls. Thank you for sharing your “just have fun” approach! Off to begin mine!
Thank you for sharing your creative soul. Your "process" is a lot like mine. If you have those little magnets for crafts, you can drop them in the end of one or both hands and they hold on to your refrigerator so the grandchildren can find a friend on their visits. I make monster dogs and cats too. Just found your channel and subscribed immediately. ^•,•^ Thank you again from Gold Beach Oregon.
Thank you so much! ADD does make it hard for me to stick with one craft for long. But I also like mixing things up. Each day I focus on just making one thing, and then I feel like I've accomplished something. Lol
Rookie sewer here. Was looking for something fun to try and gain experience I think this would work well. Would you think making the faces easier at the start or after they been stuffed? I am always worried about doing something wrong. Is any one way wrong or just personal preference to an individuals skill or ability? I cannot wait to get into something soon!
I think these dolls are great for newbies because they don't have to be perfect or look a certain way! For this style of doll, I found it easier to make the faces first because I wanted to use the sewing machine stitches. If my doll had hair, I would be able to hide the knots if I just wanted to sew buttons for the eyes. Then I would make the face after it was sewn together. It all depends on what you want your doll to look like. There is no right or wrong way with these dolls. 🙂
Those are ao cute. I've made several of those. They were called I think, Junky Jane dolls, or something like that! Yes I need to make some more of them. Have you made the Teesha Moore patches. You could make the dolls out of patches. Just a thought! Thanks for reminding me about these dolls! 😂
You're welcome! The Teesha Moore patches are so fun to make you won't be able to stop. I made a bunch for swaps. I'm going to try one Junker Jane monster doll, something like yours. Have a great day!
