By the way, I was impressed with the UH band. For a band that doesn't get very much name recognition and publicity, ya'll did pretty good! You have a pretty awesome dance team!
Actually Georgia did not work on the Journey show all year. We played 4 shows this year and our Journey show was our third. Our shows were James Brown, The Who, Journey, and Movie themes. We hadn't even marched the show for ver a month and we only practiced it about 2-3 days when we got to Louisiana. We did march the pre-game for the whole year (actually it hasn't changed since last year!). I think we did a good job for how much time we had.
honolulu's my hometown, and i love the warriors and their band, but after being at USC for 3 years i really would like to see some new band outfits -.-
wow, really? There were some solos in Rhythm of the Night we had to cut.. but that was about it. What cool in our pre-game is where we played 5-0, we normally play Star Spangled Banner and Hawai'i Pono'i, so we took it out and stuck in that dance and 5-0 as kind of a crowd pleaser type thing. Other than that, Rainbow Closer was a tad faster than normal.
actually, the whole reason I made those comments were to piss off chanmantooth.. the band was actually pretty cool. The best part was when a few of the girls from Georgia were learning hula. Good times.
That stinks! I don't know the audition requirements for Drumline here, but all I have to do is play at our annual spring game and play in a concert band in the spring and we are automatically back in the band for the next year. If you don't, you have to reaudition.
