You have to remember, in Detroit and this is no disrespect to the rappers of battle rappers. We don't hold rappers above ppl here. A few real ones have made it through. the streets/ the Bosses in the streets are at the top of the pyramid so to say. You remember when ppl said in NYC or other places. the streets looked at the rappers like they was the weirdos or the rappers were imitating the streets. It's still that way but a few real street cats have broke through and now we are seeing some real street cats repsenting the real Detroit. I say this to say.. a real guy, or a street guy in Detroit not going to think I need to go get acquainted with the rappers, because more than likely he has his own hood, friends, gang, crew he run with and they may or may not be from areas that don't mess with each other.
