It could do with some work before the night of the competition. For the staging, they should use the rotating room technique that makes it look like the performer is walking on the walls and the ceiling. Also, I think it sounds similar to not just It’s a Sin by the Pet Shop Boys, but also Deeper shade of Blue by Steps.
I really like this song, and it sounds like Years and Years with a bit of Pet Shop Boys, so a good solid pop song, but I can understand why some people are disappointed because of all the hype, so they might get the feeling of "is this just it?" Because they might have expected more. I could see it get to top 10, at very least out of the bottom 5, but it has to be this exact vibe people want on the night or be performed incredably to get into the top 5, but I cross my fingers, and its tough when it certainly will be compared to songs like Belgium and Switzerland who are some of the big favorites to do very well I think.

As a Brit, i'm prouder of the Croatian and Dutch entries. The chorus lacks a strong hook and the verses are better meaning it will all depend on live vocals and staging.
I really love the song. And luke lot of people are saying same thing. I think song on it own is top 10 but for me you got Lithuania and Switzerland with similar style to oliy. I think if this wasn't a strong year we have like 25 winning songs. It all about that one night to shine. If he released the song before the other songs I think there would have been better reception. But most people are saying top 10 I think around 10 to 5 places will be good finished. I think we should enjoy the song get behind it.
It is already in my playlist. Olly has a pinch of Michael Jackson in his voice, a bit of female tone, sounds electric. The melody is effective, soothing and energizing at the same time, flows magically. The song seems not suitable for a competition like Eurovision where "fireworks" are essential. Great job.
It's a sin is much stronger than this. however, i think its a super popsong with quality and deserves more love than it gets. will end up between 10 and 15 somewhere i guess.
Hi Luke. Not commented for a while ( had a tough personal year) .Still have time and the enthusiasm to watch all these years' entries as they come out. Got to be honest, not one song has blown me away. It could just be me. Hopefully, one or two at least may grow on me. Including the 🇬🇧. My mum ( if she was alive) would say they're all rubbish,. She was brutally honest lol. Once all the songs are out, please let your mum do a reaction ( so funny). Give her a big hug for mothers day xxx. ( first year without mine 😭. Xxxx

I decided to wait until today to start listening to all the entries to prevent any biases. Yes, the beginning sounds like “It’s A Sin” (ironically he did cover that at the Brits a couple of years ago). But you’re right. I have no idea where it will place because while it’s good, it’s not an instant winner. Plus, I kinda expected more from Olly. 1 down. 36 songs to go! 😀
Too many 'strong' songs this year gives none of them great strength for me, I can't root for anything in particular apart from Olly as a huge fan already. That could be where the strength lies with this one? It's the only song I can remember instantly and it's constantly in my head, and the only one I'm playing on repeat. Not a winner but I highly doubt it'll be last place and there's no way Olly won't go for some great staging. Going to be an interesting year for sure.
So......would you really "like to be proved wrong ".... honestly??? OR are you yet another secretly hoping for a UK flop!!!....I have my suspicions. You never know but if we (UK) got behind our entry for once it might just surprise us and do just fine. Negativity spreads more negativity. I love our song it's catchy and performed by an established talented artist. So Olly do us PROUD and just "ENJOY" this wonderful opportunity. I really would because as I said in the video - I personally love the song. I’m trying to second guess Europe. This is the sort of song I’d listen to on repeat - and it is indeed in my top ten. I’m just trying to imagine going down in comparison to the other songs we have in the competition
It is very catchy but in no way original. When you see Switzerland and Ireland being ambitious and unique, sending something like a piece of Art, this will just get lost with the other catchy texhno songs.
I don’t disagree but Spain didn’t go down well with televoters at all last year with their unique sound. Ireland really is a love it or hate it. Switzerland is really interesting but for me it’s quite chaotic, not sticking in my head at all at the moment. In the end Loreen’s quite generic song and huge fan base did it. I think Olly’s fan base will definitely give this a boost among the others. Time will tell though.
