I am a well travelled outdoorsmans, having climbed, biked and hiked in many remote places in the world. I've spent time in the Himalayas, South America, the Mid-Western and North Western United States, but I have also often walked and biked along the canal around the Leigh and Wigan flashes (shallow mining subsidence lakes with some woodland - for non locals). These areas are not extensive. If you take the logic Bigfoot is a large Ape or even some humanoid missing link, then simply there is not the forest cover or associated game to feed/hide a creature of this size. For any of these sightings to be actual experiences and not hoaxes, then Bigfoot cannot be a normal physical animal. Other less corporeal explanations present themselves? Thanks for the video Mick.
I concur. I don't believe any of the so-called cryptids live in our plane of existence, dimension, permanently. They have to be 'coming & going' via portals or the like. Either intentionally or accidentally. This is why modern science & technology has been unable to conclusively document them, not because they are simply 'too elusive'.

To think that for years peoples lives have been completely "messed up" because they had to keep these experiences quiet and to themselves when all they wanted to do was ask other people if they had heard of anyone else having anything similar happen or knew what exactly they had encountered. Gradually because of you Mick and the amazing work of Deborah Hatswell and increasingly others, this gentleman can find some solace in "getting it off his chest" whilst also helping others make that daunting but usually freeing step of also sharing their own experiences. This world is full of things we have very little knowledge of and also a small group of people who lie about and muddy the waters on things that we are aware of....The truth always rises to the surface and again, thankyou to you both for helping that to happen. brilliant encounter and such a great find in getting him to come forward. it happened in 1987 yet you can tell it's still embedded in his mind, as if it happened yesterday. You can tell he's genuine but it's amazing how many others deny the same experience like his work colleague did. Definitely a good area to explore especially at night. Thanks a lot Mick.
Sounds very genuine. Had chills listening to this;Forest folk, probably a male. The deafness he described was probably a very low frequency growl. Interviewers must be aware of PTSD as retelling these encounters can worsen the condition.
Probably male, yes. I only interview if the person is 100% happy retelling me their experience and if I thought in anyway any witnesses would have problems after I would not go any further with interviewing them. Myself as a interviewer am very aware of PTSD and always makes sure I treat the witnesses with respect. But you are right some interviewers jump in without thinking of the person involved with their experience.

The bit around 6.45 seconds about the muffled sound, like having earplugs in, is remarkably similar to Fred Roehl's account which took place in Alaska around 20 years ago.
In the middle ages these creatures were called Wodwoses - dwellers in the woods - huge hominid beings covered in hair. They've been seen in Britain for many centuries.
Very interesting account. I want to visit Washington State to see if I can get an encounter, but listening to this, and only being 10 miles away, it seems like this might be the place to go.
