It is not second place in the running, they're projected to win only 1-5 seats and their percentage of the popular vote is still generally polled less than the Tories.

Better yet, they're likely to win significantly more seats than reform in the upcoming election, and there are no candidates who are literal nazi sympathisers, dog kickers or paedophile apologists (as there are in the reform party)
If you are in favour of mass immigration, you are in favour of more traffic on roads , more queues in shops, more crowded beaches and beauty spots in summer, more overcrowding in high streets, more overflowing bins, more sewerage in rivers as more people use water and flush toilets etc, less free seats on trains, and just generally everything feeling more and more busy with each passing year that this madness carries on for. What is the point of voting if politicians lie, miss lead the house of parliament and allowed to go away with it? If the government is not honest in its dealings on behalf of the voters they should be held accountable, media never raise that questions. Their example of behaviour is a fine example to the voters to follow

It would be good to vote for the person who can actually remember the questioners name.. There is one reason for most of the cost of living problems and that is the fact that the Gov't lost control of our gas prices. North Sea gas was originally a Gov't project and the Conservatives moved in and just could not help themselves. Fascism is an ideology generally associated with authoritarianism, ultra-nationalism, violence, intimidation, and ultimately the undermining of democracy. If you honestly believe that Reform UK is even remotely connected to Fascism then you are a prime example of how bad the British education system has become.
The proliferation of political parties is an indication of the inherent weakness in our political system. The electorate only gets to put a cross on the ballot paper. There is no way to express support, or not for individual policies. This may go some way to explaining the number of viable parties, as this at least provides some measure of policy selection. It is unfortunate that "none of the above" is not an option on the ballot paper. This could be a preferable option to not voting at all, if this option had the real power to limit the mandate that the elected party can claim. It is not necessarily apathy which stops voters voting, but an unwillingness to support one or more of the policy in each of the parties manifesto. It is a political trick, vote for the policies you like and thereby endorse those you hate. Once elected, the government will decide which manifesto policies it will pursue with vigour and which it will kick into the long grass. The reader can guess which is which.

@@robertelkins5928 not voting or destroying the ballot paper lacks the power that a none of the above option offers. The latter registers a lack of support for each of the manifestos of the parties involved. It stops the winning party claiming a mandate for its policies. Something they tend to do when the turn out is low. A positive rejection is far better than not voting, as the winning party cannot claim that the electorate were apathetic, and offering tacit support. Ideally, a strong vote for "none of the above" should trigger an early second general election and have the power to limit a government's ability to force through policies for which it lacks a true mandate. The current system needs reform, as in all but the swing constituencies, the result is a foregone conclusion. I personally prefer referendum votes on important issues, as these are truly democratic. They are usually on single issues, every vote counts, and everyone gets an equal vote. You will no doubt disagree, citing the Brexit vote. But I would argue that the result should be biased towards no change unless the result has a reasonable majority of say two thirds in favour of change. You might want this rule applied to leaving the EU, but I think it should have applied to the case for joining in the first place. In the case of joining, I think the electorate were treated like the proverbial frog slowly boiled by being placed in cold water that is slowly heated.

The number of spoiled ballots are always vanishingly small, a reflection on the negative connotations of doing so. Spoiled ballots are as ambiguous as the numbers of those who do not vote, neither limit the power of term length of the subsequent elected government. This is something you may come to regret if labour achieves a super majority, with no effective opposition.
