A small guy in the UK rap scene is Loyle Carner. He blends rap with hip-hop, jazz, and singer/songwriter stuff. Such a humbled and insightful guy that is worth listening to. I found him from Tom Misch, who is another amazing UK artist (he’s a jazz guitarist and a producer. Made a couple mixtapes and two solid albums of many genres). I would check out “Angel,” “No CD,” “Loose Ends,” “Ice Water” and “The Isle of Iran” by Carner. But both of his albums are worth a listen-through.

Great reaction Ernest! You did ok with the accents - it can be difficult, especially with different parts of the uk. Aitch is northern, from Manchester whereas AJ is from the south. A lot of southern uk slang originates from carribean/Jamaican slang. AJ has a lot of football (soccer) bars, that can be tricky if you’re not from the uk or don’t have knowledge of the sport. MICE by Aitch is fire! You’ll really like Dave, try ‘Black’ live from the Brit awards or psycho, he’s very different, very lyrical. I personally love Chip, he had beef with Stormzy lately that’d be cool To check out! Chip ant for Stormzy 3 times and he wouldn’t reply! Mic Righteous, Avelino, Wrench 32 all good too. Fire in the Booth or Daily Duppys are a good starting point.
